Last Chance for Free Paper

Just a couple of days left until May is over! How fast is this year going??

May is officially Scrapbooking Month so if you’re a scrapbooker hopefully you’ve had a chance this month to complete a couple of pages.

I’ve started doing mini pages to fit in my 6"x6" album. They are quick and easy – far less daunting or time consuming than the bigger pages, and they still achieve the goal of recording precious moments. I usually add the journaling as a separate tag that slips in behind the photo. If ever I choose to convert them to 12×12, it will be a simple process of a little extra layering, finding a spot for the journaling tag and adding a few more embellishments.

As May draws to a close don’t forget you still have a chance to claim a free packet of 12"x12" Designer Series Paper with the purchase of 3 packs. Contact me if you’re interested. With 2 pages of each design in a pack, consider sharing with a friend. Designer Series Papers are great for cardmakers too, as they add that extra touch with very little effort, as you can see from the cards below. A little strip goes a long way!

Also a BIG HUGE welcome to all the new demonstrators that have joined the team this month. The discounted ‘Scrapbooking’ Starter Kit has been a huge hit and I’m so excited to see so many very talented and creative ladies join in the fun. I can’t wait to meet all the new girls at the quarterly EurekaStampers team get-together in July.

Have a great weekend!

New Class Schedule

Published by under classes

Hi stampers!

I came home from Convention on a creative high and spent the past week or two making lots and lots of cards, boxes, cards, totes… and more cards! I didn’t even have time to blog. Ok, well, I did have to catch up on the washing and ironing, etc, but we don’t have to dwell on that. LOL.

I also got all our calendars in sync and have scheduled the next lot of Classes – they are going to be so much fun.

The first round (January – May) was a bit of a test, just to see if anyone would come. Well, every class was booked out! I have listened carefully to all the ideas that my lovely stamping friends gave me, and have come up with some very practical but enjoyable class topics. I hope you find something that grabs your interest. Contact me to reserve your spot.

Below is a super simple card made with the fabbo new Curly Label Punch Bundle (p153 IB&C) of stamps and punch. Oh, the possibilities with this one….!!

I love making a little peek-a-boo window and adhering the sentiment on the inside. It’s easy to line up too: just shut the card and attach the punch shape through the gap.

Happy stamping!

Convention Wrap-up

Published by under Stampin' Up! Convention

(Swaps received at Convention 2009, above)

Day 2 of Convention was fantabulous!!

We spent the morning in our smaller group, learning and being inspired, then gathered together for another yummy lunch.

It was a beautiful day so we sat on the steps of the Convention Centre and soaked up the rays. During lunch I had one of those ‘wow’ moments, when I stopped to realise how many hundreds of women (and a couple of men) had come from all over Australia and New Zealand to share our love of papercrafts in general, but especially for Stampin’ Up!. You know, I always thought I was the only one who could spend hours in the stationery aisles of shops! LOL. It was so wonderful to meet like-minded people and put faces to names/websites. Oh and the creativity!!! It was sooo inspiring!!!

We gathered for more Workshop Wows and inspiration. It must have been scary for the demonstrators to go up on stage in front of their peers, but they all did such a great job. Thank you!

We ‘frocked up’ and returned to the Convention Centre in the evening for one of the highlights of the weekend… the Awards Night. It was a night of celebration as demos were recognised for all their hard work over the past year.

I was lucky enough to go up on stage for a couple of awards, as were two of the lovely demonstrators in my group. Congratulations Maureen and Juliana!!! A highlight was learning that my very own upline, Janine Rawlins, was one of the top demonstrators in the whole country – number 20 in fact! She also won an all-expenses paid trip to Noosa in August for her and her hubby Nick. Well done Janine!

The absolute best part of being at Convention, was the giggles and fun I shared with all the girls in our group. In the words of a stamp set, it was Priceless.

Now that I’m unpacking and getting ready for another great year with Stampin’ Up!, I’m already looking forward to convention next year – in Sydney!

Cheers,

Here we are in Canberra, for the annual Stampin’ Up! convention for Australian demonstrators. It is soooo exciting!!

Today was the first day and we spent the whole time being inspired, catching up with friends, chatting to the company exec’s and seeing the most incredible projects. We swapped loads of cards and I have received some absolutely stunning ones that I can’t wait to share with everyone when I get home. Yes, we even did some stamping! What a surprise :)

Below are some happy snaps from Day 1.
