The limited edition Reason To Smile set has been hugely popular. So much so, that it has been on backorder a couple of times so far this month. (Don't worry if you're waiting for your copy to arrive, it's on its way and will come!)
LAST DAYS – Available until Saturday June 30
This two-step stamp set is easy to use and quite versatile: overlay both the solid and outline images to create a detailed image (as in the mini milk carton box above), OR use them separately as I have below.
Crumb Cake card base
Note card set with matching envelopes
3"x3" gift card in Crumb Cake, watercoloured directly onto the card base
Versmark-stamped background, linen thread bow
TIP: For a multicoloured image, use the wide brush-end of your Stampin' Write markers to apply ink in different colours directly onto the rubber (see Real Red and Old Olive flower above).
Just to recap, the Reason to Smile stamp set is only available until Saturday and there are two ways to get your hands on it:
1. FREE with a $125 purchase from any current catalogue. Just let me know if you'd like clear- or wood-mount.
2. Order it in CLEAR-MOUNT for $28.95* or WOOD-MOUNT for $35.95*. (* plus p/h)
Shoot me an email to place your order and I'll get it all delivered straight to your door, anywhere in Australia.
One of the best things about our annual Convention for Stampin' Up! demonstrators is swapping finished projects with other 'demos'. This is seriously good fun!
This year I went off to Convention with a box of 3D projects and cards. It was all very good in theory, but I kinda underestimated how much extra room they'd take up in the suitcase (note to self: assemble 3Ds at destination next time or get a bigger suitcase! lol)
The pillow box handbags were created by adhering the lovely Stampin' Up! fabric to cardstock which I talked about back in this post. I loved them so much I thought I'd make a few dozen!
And here are some photos of us swapping on the first day of Convention.
Back at the hotel room we checked out each other's swaps and took photos of those we didn't get. It's all part of sharing ideas. Great stuff.
Here's just a small selection of the lovely swaps and special gifts I received from fellow demonstrators.
Of course there is no way any of us could swap with every demonstrator, but luckily for us Stampin' Up! put together lovely display boards so we could 'ooh' and 'aah' over all the great ideas.
Here are just a couple. Come along to Convention with us next year in Brisvegas as a demonstrator to see even more!
p.s. A quick hello to the lovely ladies I met on Saturday at our fundraiser event. I had such an enjoyable day and LOVE my teacups – hehehe.

I'm so excited to be supporting a wonderful lady in her efforts to raise funds for cancer research. I met Judith a few years ago through my Stampin' Up! workshops, and was inspired when she told me about her latest endeavour. Judith's niece is participating in the 2012 Ride to Conquer Cancer in Perth later this year but she is legally blind, so Judith is going to be her guide as they ride throughout the scenic Western Australia countryside. Wow! To help her raise funds to meet her goal we are having a stamping day… details above. It's THIS SATURDAY so if you'd like to join us please contact Judith on the number listed above. And if you would like to donate in any small way to Judith's efforts just click HERE.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, one of the special events at Convention each year is the Managers Reception. And this year Stampin' Up! took it to a whole new level.
A bus collected us from the Convention Centre after the sessions finished on Day 2 and took us to our mystery destination. We were told to bring photo ID and have no sharp tools or weapons on us! :) Being Canberra, our nation's capital and home to many many government buildings, we had a good guess as to where we were going but it was a real treat to end up at Parliament House. Our function was in the Mural Hall, beneath the flagpole mast!
Boarding the bus to the 'mystery destination'
Back entrance. Beautiful at night:
We went through security and collected our pass (bags x-rayed, etc):
Each attendee received a handmade keepsake and a yet-to-be-released stamp set. Gorgeous, on both counts!
Thanks Stampin' Up for a great night.
I'll be back soon to share some gorgeous Convention swaps.
Wishing my fellow Aussies a lovely Queens Birthday long weekend.
I've come home from Convention simply buzzing with ideas and soooo many projects to share with you. Want to catch up for a fun Papercraft Party?
Some dates still available for June and July so you can take advantage of the extra hostess dollars.
For more info and to work out dates, contact me via email and I'll call you back.
Not quite ready for an in-person get together? Why not pass the catalogue around to your crafty friends and pool your orders. If the total combined orders come to at least $650 you'll get the full $190 in freebies. Woohooo.
