Seasonal Sale starts – NOW!

Published by under cards

What a week! I’ve just returned from an amazing trip to Sydney for the annual Stampin’ Up! conference (OnStage). But before we get into that, I had to let you know about a FABULOUS 4-day sale which is now on.

  • 10% off punches
  • 15% off stamps (Host stamp sets are not included in this sale)
  • 20% off dies
  • 20% off embossing folders
  • 20% off non-specialty Designer Series Paper

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Select items from the Annual Catalogue are on sale
  • Download the full list here
  • Sale runs from Tuesday 15th Nov – Friday 18th Nov
  • While supplies last… so get in early in case your fave item sells out before the end of the sale
  • HANDY HINT: With these great discounts you will often find it’s a BETTER DEAL to buy stamps and dies individually instead of in the bundle.

Don’t forget, if you spend over $50 with me you’re eligible for this month’s IDEAS Tutorial bundle which is 67 pages long! This will be emailed to you after you order.

And if you spend over $250, you’re also eligible for FREE PRODUCTS in the form of Stampin’ Rewards – at least 10% of your order total in free products! You will choose these free products at the time of ordering.

Simone’s Top Picks

Some of my ALL-TIME FAVOURITE products are on sale!

1. Go To Greetings stamp set

This literally is my ‘go to’ set for greetings. Absolutely love the range of fonts and sizes that can be used separately or together! You can see I used it on the left side of the card front panel. The die cut “Thank You” is also on sale at the moment! It’s from Charming Sentiments along with the matching Sentiment Silhouette dies.

2. Stylish Shapes dies

These would have to be my MOST used dies over the past year. I literally use them every single week. Don’t miss it!

3. Trimming The Tree stamp set

I love how this is such a pretty tree, and the sentiments are great. I tend to not use “Happy Holidays” on my cards, but would definitely use the other sentiments. It’s a 2-step stamp set, so use different shades of green on the feature tree and leafy highlights for a WOW look. Try embossing the tinsel/lights with gold or silver embossing powder for the perfect finish. If you want a simple and easy Christmas stamp set, this is it.

4. Happy Forrest Friends and Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper

I couldn’t decide which is my fave paper pattern so I’ve listed them both.
These papers just makes me happy! The little critters are so cute and the colours of those flowers… just stunning. You can fussy cut them out or use them on the sheet.
Oh and the matching Happier Than Happy stamp set is also on sale.

Once I started this list I realised I actually have many, many more favourites on sale!

Jump on over to the online store and check them out. I promise, it’s worth it. I reckon you’ll have you’re own ‘favourites’ list before long.

One easy way is to add your favourites to the cart as you’re browsing and then finalise your list at the end. Don’t forget you’re eligible for free products with a qualifying order, so some of those items might swap over to your freebies.

YCCI: Happy Forest Friends

Published by under cards

Hi friends! It’s been a little while since I showed you the monthly You Can Create It (YCCI) packs and shared what our fabulous design team created with the same materials. This month our kits included paper and coordinating cardstock from the the Happy Forest Friends paper pack. Oh my goodness, I LOVE this paper!!! It’s sooooo cute <3

It really is the sweetest paper but we had more material to create with…

Our packs this month also included Old Olive cardstock, Sahara Sand cardstock and Linen Thread.

And this fun little card is what I made…

Design Team Projects

Once again the YCCI design team have truly outdone themselves with these fabulous projects.
Enjoy the inspiration!

Heike Fallwickle

Aren’t they amazing! The design team really did an incredible job, as always.

Tutorial: Stepping Up Your Projects

Published by under cards

Each week Stampin’ Up! demonstrators are sent an email with helpful information. Sometimes there is an inspiring story about a fellow demonstrator, or the latest business advice, or info about the latest promotion, and often there is creative inspiration. A while ago they shared the following three projects featuring the Sending Smiles and Pretty Birds Bundles.

I took a deep-dive into how these cards were made and am sharing that with you today. There are some fantastic ideas here that I know will come in handy!

I love how the projects are stepped up for casual crafters, through to the more experienced avid crafters.

This is a great reminder that your cards can be as simple or as complicated as you like. Sometimes we like to make clean & simple cards with minimal supplies. Other times we like to let our creativity loose and spend all day on a project! What is your favourite style?

On the first card, the bird image was coloured with Watercolor Pencils. The concept artist then created their own patterned paper by stamping out the bird cage image on Basic White Cardstock, taking care to line up the chain of each bird cage with the base of the cage above it.

The next card was stepped up by adding a few extra layers of patterned paper, and adhering Mossy Meadow Cardstock to a Foam Adhesive Sheet, which was then used that to die cut the word “Sending.” The “Sending” word shadow was die cut in Vellum and adhered behind the die-cut word, and finished off with some Brushed Metallic Dots.

This third card is a WOW card! The concept artist used the Deckled Rectangles Dies to cut three rectangles from the Texture Chic Designer Series Paper, then layered them on the card base, offsetting each layer. Next, the large bird cage was die cut three times from Crushed Curry Cardstock and once from Pearlescent Specialty Paper. All the die cuts were adhered together with the specialty paper on top, creating a thick die-cut piece. Such a cool technique!

Finally, the “Sending” word shadow was created by blending Mossy Meadow and Soft Succulent ink on Basic White Thick Cardstock with Blending Brushes then adding a few water drops with a Stampin’ Spritzer.

  • We are in the final week of the September Weekly Deals. Check out the latest specials here.

  • Brand new LIMITED EDITION cutting dies have been added for September. Check them out here. Note: They are only available until the end of September and won’t be offered again in the future.
  • Less than 3 months until Christmas! Woohooo…. time to start the Christmas cards 🙂
