Sale-a-bration Stamps: Punch Bunch

Published by under cards,Sale-a-bration

Today I'm sharing cards featuring the fun stamp set Punch Bunch. This set coordinates with five of our favourite punches (including the scallop circle and owl punch – which would have to be two of my MOST used punches!).

Thanks to our artists from the SUDSOL swap for giving me permission to share their cards here.

Above: Susanne Collins.

In Regal Rose, Soft Suede and Blushing Bride colours. I'm loving the new Square Lattice embossing folder!

Above: Helen Johnson.

Showcasing the gorgeous Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper.

Above: Liz Hicks.

I love all the texture on this card, thanks to the Crimper, strips of ribbon, and the eyes which were created by inking Basic Rhinestones with black StazOn!.

Liz used the On Board Chipboard (Mix & Match) to create a template for the tree.

Above: Kris McIntosh.

The Scallop Trim Border Punch creates a fabulous edging. Beautiful!

I've got plenty more beauties to show you so check back soon, or better yet simply SUBSCRIBE to the blog to get updates straight into your Inbox!

Stamping Fun

Published by under cards,Sale-a-bration

Yay, it's great to be back! But what a busy few weeks it's been – phew!  The big kids are now settled into school and little miss 4 is at Kinder. We're getting into our comfortable routine for 2011, and I have to say it's kind of nice after the eventful summer holidays.

I'm happy to report that 'Project Craft Room' is almost complete, and after having withdrawal symptoms from not stamping in a little while I did manage to sneak in a couple of quick projects, which I'm sharing today. They use the yummy new Sale-a-bration stamps that are FREE with a qualifying order. Gotta love free stamps :)

I CASEd this layout from the Sale-a-bration catalogue, swapping the stamp set and colours.

This was a quick and simple card that was inspired by the scrapbook page on p7 of the SAB catalogue! Can you see the resemblance? I love how we never have to worry about not having any ideas. Just pick up the Idea Book or a mini catalogue and you'll see inspiration galore.

I'm really excited to be blogging again, and have already planned my posts for the next couple of weeks – so come back soon!

Before I go, I just wanted to say a quick thank you to Kathryn Mangelsdorf, a guest designer on UStamp with Dawn, who kindly invited me to join this round as her guest.  Thanks Kathryn!

Last days: Summer Mini Catalogue, Sale-a-bration

Published by under Sale-a-bration

My favourite stamp from this year's great Sale-a-bration sets is the birdcage, from the Happy Moments set. If you've been to a class or workshop with me over the past few months, no doubt you've heard me raving about it… It's so cute!!

These cards were inspired by a few I saw on Splitcoaststampers, and in particular Petronella Hardy's lovely samples from her website. In these cards the birdcage is teamed with Baroque Motifs.

I'm able to take last minute orders from the Summer Mini Catalogue until 8pm Wednesday 31st March. You can choose a free Sale-a-bration stamp set – like Happy Moments, perhaps? – for every $100 order.

Contact Simone Bartrum, 0411 642038 or (03) 5345 1592

Email: stamps@simonebartrum.com

I'll be back with some more Easter projects soon, and of course from THURSDAY the very exciting launch of the brand new Autumn-Winter Mini catalogue. WooHooo!

More Pop-Up Fun

Published by under cards,Paperific,Sale-a-bration

peanutsliderHello! If this is your first time visiting, welcome… feel free to look around and  subscribe (check the top right sidebar) so you’ll always be kept up to date.

As promised in my last post, I’m sharing a couple more pop-up cards that were on display at my class last weekend. All the ladies did a great job of the pop-up cards, and keeping up with the pace. Yep, we covered a lot of info in those 2 hours!

This slider card above features the stamp set called That’s Funny (p55) and those “complimentary peanuts” that give us a chuckle. It reminds of the days when Lonestar Steakhouse at Chadstone had complimentary nuts in big barrels, and the shells were all over the floor! Anyone else remember that?

And open…

And below we have another type of pop-up; one which has an additional insert that you can embelish.

Well here we are in March already which is our final month of Sale-a-bration. Have you got your free stamps yet? This really is a great time to stock up on snail adhesive refills, Whisper White cardstock (sooooo perfect for stamping on), and other basics so you can choose another free set!

If you are dropping by Paperific this weekend, stop by the Stampin’ Up! stand and say g’day. I’ll be there on Saturday and Sunday, along with a bunch of other lovely demo’s. We’ll have free Make & Takes and demonstrations all day, and lots of project ideas to inspire.

Happy stamping,

Happy Moments Carousel Card

Published by under cards,Sale-a-bration

Happy Moments Carousel Card

Hi stampers!

Today’s project is a fun card I whipped up for a special friend’s birthday.

It is made from a couple of Carousel Notes (p131 Idea Book & Catalogue) which are joined together with a brad. If you squint you can *just* see the red brad in the middle of the clear embossed flower on the right there. hehehe

Anyway, this brad is where the top carousel note swivels to the left so the message can be read on the card underneath (click the image below for a demo).

The birthday present image is one of the cute stamps from the Happy Moments Sale-a-bration set. That stamp is going to get a lot of use, for sure!

I have been making all sorts of cards with interesting folds and flips and pop-ups lately, as I’m getting ready for my next class:
