Three years ago I shared some cards on my blog from a team swap.

One of them was this card by the lovely Debbie Hand.

Over the years I noticed  that a lot – and I mean A LOT – of visitors were coming to my blog to visit this card, mainly from Pinterest.

Many have emailed me about it. Most shared how much they liked the design. Some had CASEd it. Occasionally people asked how to make it. I even had an angry email (“why don’t you ladies give instructions!”). Yep, it’s an interesting life, isn’t it?

I sent many emails explaining how I believe, just by looking at it, that the card was made. But in the past week alone I’ve received another 5 emails about it! So, I’m here today to provide as much info as I can about this card.

Debbie and I have had a big chuckle about it too.

HOW DO YOU MAKE IT?
1. Create a standard card base, with the fold on the left side.

2. Using your paper trimmer, cut out a section from the card front.

3. Punch a semi-circle from the card front with a circle punch.

4. Embellish card front and add a flower to the inside so it peeks through the punched semi-circle opening.

Yep, it really is that easy!

FAQ

- The original card was created using the now-retired stamp sets Bird on a Branch (for the speckled image and also the sentiment) and Cottage Garden for the flower.

To line up the sentiment you want, just rotate the dial so the number through the window matches the message printed on the front.

How cool is that!

Now, I never did get around to sharing photos from the BIG EVENT that kept me so busy recently…

It was our our whole-group Team Day!

SOOOO much fun.

We did Make & Takes and there was an Inspiration Table with jaw-dropping projects on display. There were great presentations, projected on the big screen above so everyone in the room could see. AND to top it off we videoed it so all the demo’s in our group from around Australia wouldn’t miss out. With hundreds of demonstrators around the country, it’s wonderful how technology brings us all together.
