IDEAS Tutorial Bundle (Jan 2021): Sale-a-bration Theme

Published by under cards | Jan 05 2021

The January IDEAS tutorial bundle is now available!

This amazing 70+ page document has been carefully curated just for you, and is filled with project ideas and inspiration. Perfect timing too, because Sale-a-bration officially kicks off TODAY – Tuesday 5th January – here in Australia. The new January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue is live from today… New products… HOORAY.

The tutorial bundle document has been created by the IDEAS Design Team – a collective of international demonstrators – who each create unique tutorials to help inspire you and to make your crafting easy and fun.

The collage above is a sneak peek of all the amazing projects that the Design Team have contributed to this month’s tutorial bundle.

To get your hands on the document, simply place a $50+ order of Stampin’ Up! products with me during the month of January. This can be done through my online store, or by contacting me by email, by Facebook or phone. It’s also available for separate purchase (contact me for details) and is provided to my team members for free in our team forum.

Once you have received the tutorials, please remember they are for your personal use only, so that means you can’t distribute any printed or electronic copies of these bundles.

January Theme: Loving Sale-a-bration

Our theme this month is “Loving Sale-a-bration” which could be a love theme with wedding, anniversary, Valentine, or simply a focus on a SAB item that we personally love.

The variety of projects here is phenomenal, I know you’re going to love it!

I chose two items to feature in my projects: The Oh So Ombre 6×6 paper pack and the A Touch of Ink stamp set. Both of which I LOVE.

The mini handbag is made from a 6×6 square of patterned paper! All instructions are clearly stepped out in the tutorial.

You can have a look at a sneak peek of each of the designer’s projects by joining us on this blog hop. Visit MaryKates’s post just by clicking on the button below.

Treat Packaging: YCCI (You Can Create It – Kits)

Published by under cards | Jan 03 2021

Each month our You Can Create It (YCCI) subscribers are given a packet of supplies – like cardstock, paper and embellishments. The challenge is to turn those supplies into a completed project.

The December packet looked like this…

The packet included:

  • a Mosaic Gusseted Cellophane bag,
  • Snowflake Splendour ribbon,
  • Basic Gray and Balmy Blue cardstock and
  • a panel of Balmy Blue glimmer paper.

Subscribers can also add anything from the ‘extra materials’ packet (I used a small piece of the Flush Poinsettia specialty paper) or anything from their own supplies.

So much fun!

I turned my supplies into this treat holder…

I trimmed the Balmy Blue cardstock to 10cm wide, and scored the 21cm long panel at 3cm, 6cm and 20cm. Then I slid the scored and folded cardstock into the bag to add structure to the base and back of the gusseted bag. I folded the 1cm lip down over the front and stapled it closed before adding the embellishments and sentiments to the front.

Inside is dark chocolate Toblerone mini bars of chocolate. Yum.

Year in Review: 2020 Vision

Published by under cards | Jan 02 2021

The start of a new year is always a great time to look forward and set our vision for the coming year. And let’s face it, most of us went through a bit of a crazy year in 2020.

But it wasn’t all bad.

Papercraft helped many of us get through periods of lockdown, isolation and quarantine. Not to mention job loss and long periods of loneliness as we missed our friends and family who we couldn’t see as often as we’d like. I’ve been moved by many stories from my customers throughout the year.

Thank you for supporting my business and for turning to me for your craft supplies. I hope your year was filled with plenty of positives though, and I wish you a brilliant year ahead in 2021.

Below is a recap of some of the projects I shared throughout 2020. xxx

The Spot #143: Sketch Challenge

Published by under cards | Dec 29 2020

Welcome to this week’s project for The Spot Creative Challenge. This week we have another fabulous sketch challenge.

The Spot #143: Sketch Challenge

I still think sketch challenges are so helpful for those times you find yourself stuck for inspiration. A new layout is often all you need to get started on a new project.

This is where I went with the sketch…

The Spot #143: Sketch Challenge featuring Art Gallery stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Here we have a few sneak peeks of products that will be available from January 5 with the new mini catalogue and Sale-a-bration offering.

So exciting!

The stamp set is called Art Gallery and includes 9 handy sentiments and lovely flowers that look as if they’ve been watercoloured. I chose the colours Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay for this 2-step flower.

The paper in the background is one of the new Sale-a-bration giveaways: ‘Oh So Ombre’ Designer Series Paper. You can get a whole pack of these assorted 6×6 designs (48 sheets in total!) for free with any AUD$90 purchase from 5th January until the end of February.

About THE SPOT CREATIVE CHALLENGE:

Each week our Design Team of international creatives share projects based on a new challenge. It could be a theme, a technique, a colour challenge or – as it is in this week – a sketch challenge.

Each Tuesday at 10pm (Syd/Mel time during daylight saving) you’ll see a new challenge post on the challenge website (click to visit). You can play along, and if you want you can even enter your card in the weekly challenge by uploading your project (and you don’t even need a blog!).
A winner will be chosen each week.

Your Challenge

So now it’s your turn. Use the sketch that you see at the top of this post, and use it as inspiration for a project of your own. You don’t have to follow it exactly – for example, feel free to change the heart to a different shape like I did in this card. When you’re finished, jump over to The Spot and upload a photo of your project. Have fun!

IDEAS Free Tutorial Bundle (Dec 2020)

The document has been created by the IDEAS Design Team – a collective of international demonstrators – who each create unique tutorials to help inspire you and to make your crafting easy and fun.

Once you have received the tutorials, please remember to not share or distribute the printed or electronic copies of these bundles.

December Theme

Our theme this month is “Getting Ready for a New Year”. And WOW isn’t that a good idea, after the crazy year we’ve all had in 2020.

The variety of projects here is phenomenal, and comes to nearly 100 pages!

Letter Writing Compendium

For my project I chose to create a Letter Writing Compendium, which was inspired by one I received by the Stampin’ Up! co-founder, Shelli Gardner, quite a few years ago.

It is made from a Stamp Case storage box, which you can buy in packs of 4. Inside is writing paper, envelopes and space to store postage stamps.

Here is a closer look at the cover.

You can have a look at a sneak peek of each of the designer’s projects by joining us on this blog hop. You can visit the next fabulous post, by Debbi Green, just by clicking on the button below.

GIANT Year End Sale – On Now

Published by under cards | Dec 08 2020

Don’t look now, but we are only a few weeks away from the end of 2020.

I know, right!?

We are looking forward to 2021 for MANY reasons, but one of them has to be the launch of new products on January 5th. That also means we need to clear out the shelves of retiring August – December 2020 Mini Catalogue products. That begins TODAY – NOW – with deep discounts on some of our favourite products.

Click the Shop Now button below to visit my online store where you can browse the full range. But hurry – stocks are limited.

Shop the new catalogue now
  • No minimum purchase required.
  • Retiring items are available while supplies last.
  • Items and discounts may vary by market (depending on inventory levels).
  • Exclusions apply: Carryover items will not be discounted.
  • Due to increased shipping times and possible shipping delays during the month of December, we can’t guarantee delivery before Christmas.
  • Purchasing bundle items separately can sometimes result in a cost savings.

Get on it, friends. There are some amazing bargains in the list but some of them are already on the Low Inventory list.
