Hello crafty friends :)

In our part of the world it is freezing cold – perfect for staying inside with the woolly socks on and crafting up a storm.

In only 3 weeks I’ll be half-way across the world where woolly socks will definitely not be required! We’ll be in Salt Lake City to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Stampin’ Up!® and also our Grand Vacation/Incentive Trip.

** Don’t forget to ‘like’ my Facebook page so we can keep in touch while I’m over there. I’m planning on lots of regular posts and photos of the exciting US adventure.

A quick reminder: there’s just a week left to grab a bargain with our Retiring Products. Some, like the Be Of Good Cheer patterned paper packs, are 50% OFF!! You get 12 sheets of double-sided paper for less than $10, perfect for quick festive cards like the ones below.

Something For Everyone

The Stampin’ Up! Australia Retiring List has just been released for the 2012-2013 Catalogue. And yes, there really is something for everyone.

Want to hear something exciting? There’s up to 50% off accessories. And up to 40% off stamp sets. Everyone will love that!

Remember that items are only available while supplies last. This is your last chance to get the products on the Retiring List because they won’t be in the new catalogue.

Click on the links to download in your preferred format:

RETIRING ACCESSORIES:

—> Sortable Excel spreadsheet of retiring Accessories

—>Printable PDF file of retiring Accessories

RETIRING STAMP SETS:

—>Printable PDF file of retiring Stamps

Ok so there’s a lot of info to get through. Grab a cuppa and a quiet corner to compare the list with your catalogue. [Can’t find your catalogue? Click here to download.]

You may find it easier to download the Excel files and sort according to page number (if you want to go through the catalogue in order) or discount (if you want to check the biggest bargains).

When you’ve worked out your list:

1. Visit my Online Store. Click CREATE ACCOUNT if you haven’t visited there before. Enter your details in the ‘New Profile Setup’, click Continue and you’re ready to go.  Or login using the email address you registered earlier.

2. Use hostess code [code expired] to go in the running for a free stamp set of your choice. There will be a box in the bottom left corner that says “Do you have a hostess code?” Enter the code (you can just copy and paste it) and click APPLY.

3.  Add items to your order and finalise at checkout. You can pay by Visa or Mastercard, and the order will be processed straight away!

If you’d prefer not to do it online, just call me or email your order and I’ll do it for you.

So exciting! Have a great weekend.

Stampin’ Up! Australia ‘Retiring List’ is Coming!

Published by under cards,specials | May 30 2013

Well this is it.

It’s nearly time to say goodbye to our current Stampin’ Up! catalogue. And with it, many of our favourite products.

Each year we see crafters who miss out on amazing deals because their favourite item just sold out. Aarrghhh!!

To make sure this doesn’t happen to you, and to help you during the catalogue transition, I’ve outlined 3 simple steps.

1. Visit my Online Store today and Register

Just click CREATE ACCOUNT. It only takes a minute and will set you up for quick access with preferred pricing! The retiring list comes out TOMORROW (Friday 31st May) so you’ll definitely want to do this now. It’s free and there’s no obligation!

2.  On Friday 31st of May (set a reminder on your phone!) come back here or visit my blog to view the Retiring List. Have a highlighter and your catalogue handy as you work out your must-have list.

3. Then login to my Online Store (using the email address you registered with) and grab your bargains before they’re all gone. Use hostess code 9XQGZSKU to go in the running for a free stamp set of your choice. If you’d prefer not to do it online, just call me or email your order and I’ll do it for you.

Important Note: The Retiring products are available until sold out.

BONUS: The first 20 people who order from my online store after 31st May will receive a hand-stamped card and gift! I’ve been making some fun covered note-pads and I can’t wait to share them with you! Just a little thank you to my valued customers.

Remember that my existing customers get a FREE copy on request.
Alternatively you can preorder a copy for $10 which includes delivery to your door.

See you tomorrow – woohooo SOOOOO exciting!!!

Highlights from Stampin’ Up! Convention 2013

Published by under events | May 27 2013

We have just returned from an *~AMAZING~* 5 days in Brisbane for the South Pacific Stampin’ Up! Convention 2013.

My very first convention was in Brisbane about five years ago. I loved it so much that I haven’t missed one since!

So much has changed in the past five years (my toddler back then is now a big school girl!) but one thing hasn’t changed: I still love to create. And our annual Convention really is a celebration of that… along with 700 others who feel the same way!

How do you sum up Convention in just six words?

BeTheDifference

Inspiration

friendship

fun

creativity

community

celebration

In fact, I would say this is the best Convention I’ve ever been to! I’ve come home with more ideas than ever and am itching to get back in my craft room.

Here are some highlights. **More pics & deets on my Facebook page.

This is an exciting time of year. It’s our last chance to get our hands on products that won’t be available for much longer. AND it means a brand new catalogue is just around the corner.

$$ SAVING TIP: Don’t forget this is also your last chance to get 15% off the awesome ‘Epic Day’ This & That bundle. I used mine in Brisbane and I have to say it was the BEST and most enjoyable way of ‘memory keeping’ for a very busy few days! Ends 30th MAYOrder yours here.

The tale of a card on Pinterest: Cutaway Technique

Published by under cards | May 14 2013

I have a funny story to tell about a simple card that went on to big things.

Back in 2010 I shared some cards on my blog from a team swap.

One of them was this card by the lovely Debbie Hand.

Over the years I noticed  that a lot – and I mean A LOT – of visitors were coming to my blog to visit this card, mainly from Pinterest.

Many have emailed me about it. Most shared how much they liked the design. Some had CASEd it. Occasionally people asked how to make it. I even had an angry email (“why don’t you ladies give instructions!”).

I sent many emails explaining how I believe, just by looking at it, that the card was made. But in the past week alone I’ve received another 5 emails about it! So, I’m here today to provide as much info as I can about this card.

Debbie and I have had a big chuckle about it too.

HOW DO YOU MAKE IT?
1. Create a standard card base, with the fold on the left side.

2. Using your paper trimmer, cut out a section from the card front.

3. Punch a semi-circle from the card front with a circle punch.

4. Embellish card front and add a flower to the inside so it peeks through the punched semi-circle opening.

Yep, it really is that easy!

FAQ

– The original card was created using the now-retired stamp sets Bird on a Branch (for the speckled image and also the sentiment) and Cottage Garden for the flower.

I hope this helps. Have fun recreating this cool card!

Cheers,
