Online Extravaganza - November 2016. Stampin' Up! Australia, Simone Bartrum

Great news!

Stampin’ Up! just released information about an upcoming Online Extravaganza special.

It’s huge, so set your alarms, set your phone reminders, because you won’t want to miss this. (Some specials are for 24 hours only – so you really will want to set a reminder!)

Please note, it starts on Monday so you’ve got a few days’ notice to work out if anything takes your fancy (ha! who are we kidding?) and be ready and poised to make the most of it. I know that horrible sinking feeling when you miss something that you really want to get in on. Well not this time, says I! Let’s be ready and organised so we don’t miss out!

Many products are 10%, 20%, 30% and 40% off for the whole week of the sale.

arrow9-orange
In addition, some extra products and bundles are ONLY discounted on the FIRST day of the sale (21st Nov). Others are ONLY discounted on the LAST day of the sale (28th Nov).

Download the Online Extravaganza flyer here

I’ll be back next week with more info, but for today I have some videos for you!

These are items that are on sale next week, but they also show some great projects and interesting techniques, so they are well worth a watch even if the featured product isn’t on your wish list.

Enjoy!

Love gift packaging? Need to dress up a boring present?
I’m totally and utterly in love with these gusseted bags. They do the job perfectly.  They are the ideal size for dressing up a bottle of bubbly, and really all sorts of gifts would fit in here… think cordials, oils, homemade sauces, mixers, even a bunch of flowers! During the Online Extravaganza these oversized, humungous gusseted cellophane bags are 30% off, making them only $9.10 for a packet. I’ll be grabbing a few of these.

I really enjoyed making up the Stitched with Cheer cards in this kit. In fact, we taught this class at a couple of Craft Shows over the past few months, and all the classes were fully booked and well-received by all. This is your chance to buy the full kit for 30% off.

The Project Life Hello December card collection AND Accessory Pack are both 30% off during the sale!

This is the first thing I’m going to order during the sale. I was thinking it would be a great project to make with my girls when they are on school holidays, in the days before Christmas. I hesitated, and ended up taking it off my order quite a few times! But at $6 off, I think it will have to ‘fall’ back into my shopping cart ;)

What to do next:

  1. Download the 4 page sale document.
  2. Go through it with a fine-tooth comb, working out what you want to order.
  3. Check the list of stamp sets which are 25% off this month. Any you want to add to your order?
Tip: Get them during the Online Extravaganza to save on postage!
  4. Finalise the list and item codes ready so that you can order online as soon as the sale starts OR email me your order by Sunday.

Have a fantastic day, and happy stamping,

Sunshine Wishes framelit dies www.simonebartrum.com

Recently my husband’s nephew married his beautiful bride.

The wedding was in England, and unfortunately we couldn’t leave Australia to go back over to celebrate with them because we’d only just returned from the Incentive Trip. But we did get a chance to catch up with them while we were over on that side of the world, which was a lovely bonus.

I wanted to make a special card for them, so pulled out the bling.

Bling

Silver foil sheets, Gold foil sheets, Glimmer Paper, Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate, and Metallic Enamel Shapes.

Yes, there is even a layer of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper underneath the Acetate sheet!

(Shiny and sparkly and shimmery… but really hard to photograph!)

I don’t get the opportunity to make many wedding cards these days, so this was a special one and definitely made with love.

The “Wedding Wishes” sentiment on the front, and the lovely message on the inside, were both from the Floral Phrases stamp set.

I love that the bride and groom made their own gorgeous and unique invitations.

My hubby and I are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary this year, hard to believe really but the years do tick away.  I wish I had been into cardmaking a bit more back then, I would definitely have made our invitations.

This year Stampin’ Up! are celebrating 10 years in Australia, so thankfully our Aussie brides have a lot more options than were available to me 20 years ago.

Did you (or will you) make your own wedding invitations? Let me know in the comments below and I’ll be sure to reply to your message – as well as sending you a virtual hug. Thank you so much. xxx

OnStage Wrap Up – Brisbane 2016

Published by under cards | Nov 12 2016

Hi friends, Welcome to the recap of OnStage Brisbane.

If you’ve been following my Facebook page you’ll know that I recently spent a few days in Brisbane, Queensland, for the first ever OnStage Live event in the South Pacific region.

OnStage Live in Brisbane, with Simone Bartrum

This was a fabulous opportunity for all the Stampin’ Up! demonstrators in the region to come together, along with corporate and training staff. It was similar to the Conventions that we used to have each year in Australia. But now Stampin’ Up! has gone global, so we hold these events somewhere in the world every 6 months.

Go Aussies! It was our chance to host the world. (The next event is in Amsterdam)

OnStage Live in Brisbane, with Simone Bartrum

It was all about training, entertaining, inspiring, rewarding, plenty of free gifts and unveiling NEW products.

Wall to wall inspiration, with 600+ like-minded people. It’s as good as it gets. xxx

New catalogues unveiled

From the 1st of December demonstrators get the exciting opportunity to order new products from the yet-to-be-released Occasions Catalogue a month before it goes public. It was this catalogue that was unveiled to us in Brisbane.

Sale-a-bration 2017

Not only that, but we got our own copy of the upcoming Sale-a-bration brochure too!

Do you want to get these perks too? You can! More info here!In Australia? Request a copy of the Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration brochure from Simone Bartrum

New to Stampin’ Up! and not sure what Sale-a-bration is?
Sale-a-bration (aka SAB) is the annual event where we all get to choose a FREE gift for every $90 we spend with Stampin’ Up!. And let me tell you, the gifts in the SAB brochure are GORGEOUS!

EurekaStampers Team, Stampin’ Up! Australia

Best of all, OnStage Brisbane 2016 was a fabulous opportunity for many members of our team to catch up in person.

Lots of hugs, laughs, giggles, gifts and sharing of ideas.

On the Friday night, we even had a team dinner with 40 of us all descending on a restaurant near the Night Market. The night included an ATC (Artist Trading Card) swap. It was so much fun, and I’m totally inspired by all the projects and techniques that were shared so generously by our team.

Thinking about joining Stampin’ Up!?

Contact me so I can help put you in touch with your nearest EurekaStampers team member. We’d love to welcome you to our warm and friendly group.

Stampin’ Up! Australia Top 10 Demonstrator Award

I was also thrilled (and more than a little bit shocked) to learn that I am in the Top 10 Stampin’ Up! demonstrators in Australia! Number 9, in fact.

Simone Bartrum at OnStage Brisbane 2016, Australian Top 10 Demonstrator

This is a humbling award, because I’m so indebted to my amazing team, awesome customers and my family that help me do what I do.

Being a Top 10 performer, according to Stampin’ Up!, means that I have a balanced, high-performing business with regards to Sales, Leadership, and Building and Mentoring my team. I was honoured to earn awards in each of these categories as well as the Overall Top 10 category.

Craft & Family – A match made in heaven

As a mum of three kids, I know what it’s like to juggle a love of craft, while still keeping the family running, taking care of after-school activities, remembering to sign the school diary and trying to get a decent meal on the table each night. It never stops! But being part of the Stampin’ Up! community has been such a blessing to not only me but my family as well.

I truly know how important it is to have a creative outlet, and strongly encourage EVERYone to have some sort of hobby or outlet. Even if cardmaking is not your thing (shock horror), then find SOMEthing that will both inspire you and relax you. It’s so important!

My hubby is ever so supportive and is happy to turn a blind eye to my creative mess. He can frequently be found setting up for my cardmaking classes, cutting cardstock or ‘manning’ the Big Shot. When I get grumpy, he sends me off to my craft space and tells me to go and ‘make something’ (oh, he knows me well!).

Over the past 9 years he’s been to many Conventions and Stampin’ Up! events, although recently he has been busy at home with the kids and running around after them and their activities. This time, however, he joined me! It was fabulous, and he has come to know many of our team and fellow demonstrators from the Incentive Trips too, so it was fun for him to catch up with old friends. xxx

Stampin’ Up! teamwork – better together

Other highlights were watching some of my team members do amazing things, like presenting in front of 600+ people, being chosen to create projects for the display boards, earning Top 5 awards, doing stage walks for leadership and business awards. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my team succeed and reach their goals.

CTC 101: Sweet Cupcake Bundle

Published by under cards | Oct 23 2016

CASE-ing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop

Welcome to the 101st blog hop with the CASE-ing the Catty crew. This week was an easy one: Be inspired by your Favourite Annual Catalogue Bundle. Hmmm…. maybe it wasn’t so easy after all. There are TOO many bundles that could quite easily be my favourite!

I’ve used the Sweet Cupcake bundle quite a bit lately (lots of October birthdays!) so you could say it’s my favourite of the moment.

I was inspired by the pretty little card on page 23 of the annual catalogue.

Here it is:

Sweet Cupcake card from page 23 of the 2016-2017 annual Stampin' Up! catalogue

And here is my version….

ctc-101-sweet-cupcake-bundle

My colours were Sweet Sugarplum and Perfect Plum, and Sahara Sand with a touch of Tip Top Taupe.

tags-and-labels-dies

This is a large bundle, with 24 individual photopolymer stamps and 10 dies.

I used the Sparkle embossing folder on the base, which was Sahara Sand.

Next on the hop is the lovely Julia Quinn, who is not only a lovely friend but also an awesome stamper and artist. Check out her post here.

CTC 100: Stampin’ Up! Pretty Christmas Pines

Published by under cards | Oct 16 2016

Wink of Stella highlighting the pines leaves on this card featuring Christmas Pines (by Stampin' Up!)

How exciting! This week we are celebrating 100 hops with the CASEing the Catty team. We reckon that deserves a special mention, don’t you? I’ve only been a part of this great group for a short time, but all the crew are so talented and we love sharing our projects inspired by the Stampin’ Up! catalogues. Thank you so much for your support, your lovely comments and for joining us each week.

This week we are looking at pages 18 – 31 of the Holiday Catalogue: the Presents & Pinecones suite.

Living in the middle of a pine forestry area, as we do here in Creswick, the Christmas Pines stamp set and Pretty Pines Thinlits dies immediately caught my eye. I’ve been looking forward to creating with this awesome bundle of products.

The card on page 19 is the one I chose to CASE (copy and share everything) this week.

Here it is…

Card samples from page 19 of the 2016 Stampin' Up! holiday catalogue

I kept my card pretty close to the original this week, but left off the bells which had been fussy-cut from the Presents & Pinecones designer series paper pack.

I also swapped the linen thread for the Emerald Envy metallic thread (half of the Metallic Thread Combo Pack on page 7), and a teeny tiny length of silky taffeta Emerald Envy ribbon.

Here is my version….

Card featuring Christmas Pines (by Stampin' Up!)

Those mini pinecones are absolutely adorable!

Oh my goodness. How cute!

I also got out the clear Wink of Stella brush which, if I’m honest, is never too far away. I love that stuff!

It gives just a touch of sparkle and glimmer.

Very appropriate for this sentiment, don’t you think?
