Boho Blossoms Punch
Hi stampers!
Hope you had a great weekend. We spent lots of time outside playing cricket! DS8 is playing for the school team for the first time, and we collected his cricket gear this weekend. Sooo funny seeing him try to run with his bat, pads, helmet, gloves, box. *lol* It was definitely a scrapbooking moment. Lots of smiles and laughter and happy kids, so it must have been a good weekend!
As promised, I’m back with some info on the Boho Blossoms Punch. This is the fabbo punch that was a last minute entry to the FREE PUNCH giveaway with every $85 purchase from the Gift Giving Guide.
The punch matches beautifully with a stamp from the set "One of A Kind" (p95 Idea Book & Catalogue), but is an incredibly useful punch on its own.
You can layer the flowers, and pop a brad in the middle for an instant embellishment. Maybe sponge the edges of each flower for added interest. Of course, punch art fanatics will LOVE each of the flowers for the endless possibilities they provide.
These 3 dimensional flowers are very quick and easy to make. Punch out some flowers (I’ve stamped them first but you don’t have to), then snip one of the petals out. Where there’s a gap just pull the neighbouring petals together and adhere with glue. Too easy! Try snipping out a couple of petals and closing the gap for another look.
These layered flowers are fun and very useful! No need to buy flower embellishments anymore!! Just punch and make your own beautifully co-ordinating flowers!
Pop a dab of glue to join two punched flower shapes, then poke a hole in the centre with your paper piercing tool before adding the brad (aka split pin) in a matching colour. Once this step is done you can easily snip the petals apart up to the brad, without having to worry that you’ll cut too far and cut out a petal!
Curl up the petals of the top flower for added texture and dimension. Experiment with extra layers and height.
It’s hard to believe that you can get this punch for FREE (value $30.95) with a qualifying purchase from the Gift Giving Guide. A couple of Simply Scrappin’ Kits (gifts for friends), some white and red cardstock (Christmas essentials) and the punch is yours for free! What a great deal.
Well, that’s all from me today! I’m off to make some more flowers.
Thanks for stopping by, and if you’ve got a spare 24 seconds I’d love it if you left a comment to let me know you visited.
Happy stamping,
Congratulations! I just wanted you to know that your project will appear on the Yahoo Group Late Night Stamper’s blog finds of the day for Nov. 9.
