No Cut Card Technique featuring Stampin’ Up!’s Choose Happiness set
A little while back I posted this card on my Stamping With Simone Facebook Page and shortly after I received a message from a new stamper asking how it was done.
This is called a No Cut card, although technically there is a little cutting involved but NO LAYERS which makes it super easy.
I was first shown how to do this technique by Janine Rawlins, and it has been a classic go-to card design over the years.
To make this card you need to tear off most of the front of a card base, leaving just a torn flap. A layer of stamped cardstock is adhered under this flap, completing the card front.
Need a few cards in a hurry? Stamp a whole sheet then cut it into four pieces, giving you enough elements to make four cards in a matter of minutes! Just tear the fronts of four card bases, add the quarter sheet pieces and you’re done.
My card base used here is Blackberry Bliss, one of this year’s fabulous new ‘In Color’ range. It’s quite a rich, dark base, so I added an extra panel of Very Vanilla cardstock inside so it would be easier to write my message.
Embellish with a few coordinating accessories such as ribbon/trim and a stamped sentiment.
Pop over to my Facebook Page and ‘Like’ it so you can stay up to date with the latest Stampin’ Up! news and crafty happenings as they… happen!
Have a fabulous weekend! And happy stamping,
Beautiful card idea .x
Love this card! I’m making a VERY similar one for my make-n-take tomorrow 🙂 My customers are going to love it – thank you!
Thanks Brenda! It’s a great one to teach and a handy “go to” layout. I’ll keep an eye out for your version 🙂
