CI 15: Colour Inkspiration meets Celebration Time

CI15: Colour INKspiration challenge

How is this for a powerful colour combination?!

It’s been far too long since I joined in a colour challenge, and there’s no way I could resist this colourful image. Colourful = full of colour!

The first thing I did was grab my inks and cardstock and embellishments in the colours of the week: Elegant Eggplant, Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist and Pool Party.

The colour nearly exploded off my desk and looked so bright and fun.

It reminded me of parties and celebration, which was all the excuse I needed to crack open my new stamps and dies.
(Tip: These coordinating products are available in a for 10% off!)

And this is what I ended up with:

Celebration Time

There are some very fun thinlits in this bundle, and there is definitely more to it than meets the eye.

The tag thinlits in particular are very clever.

There are different dies that layer together to build a tag. A solid base layer, a striped layer, a cutout upper layer, and a small piece that can go on top.

Here’s a better view of the cut out layout. Above, after die cutting.

And below, after popping the pieces out.

Using a combination of stamped images, or even just coloured cardstock, you can layer them to create any combination of different looks.

There are also a couple of adorable little flower thinlits.

The petals are cut apart which makes it soooo easy to create 3 dimensional flowers, as shown below.

Have these colours inspired you to play along? After you’ve finished our blog hop today, we’d love you to create your own project using this colour palette.
