CTC 82 – Stampin’ Up! Christmas
Welcome back to the weekend CASE-ing the Catty blog hop, where each week the CTC crew look at one section of the annual Stampin’ Up! catalogue and CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) a project.
This week we are looking at the Christmas section on pages 26 – 37.
Here is my project…
And this was the inspiration from page 29…
I kept everything pretty much the same except for the colours. I used Marina Mist, Pool Party and Emerald Envy for the trees.
Now that’s a different look! I know, I know, trees generally aren’t blue. But hey it’s a card so it can be any colour we want! 😉
I have to tell you… I was thrilled to bits to see that we’re starting to look at Christmas. We are 6 months out, but I plan on making a (little) stack of Christmas cards each and every month between now and the big day.
How awesome will it be to have them all ready come November/December!
Are you with me?
Well if you are serious, then think about joining me for my Christmas in July stamp-a-stack classes. You’ll have a fun 2- hour crafting session with everything supplied, and will leave with the start of your 2016 Christmas card collection! Happy stamping,
Personally I love the blue tree! Looks great Simone.
Thanks Krissy. I say ‘why not?’ to the blue trees! lol
Blue trees are the way to go! They look totally as if they belong! I am in love with your banner and the sponged finish. It looks really amazing! Thankyou for the inspiration.
Thanks Julia. I think the original banner might have been Cherry Cobbler, but I went with Real Red in the end. It kinda went with the blue trees better. xxx
Great colours. I love your banner too. Your class ladies will love it.
This card is a winner! I’m pretty sure I’ll make some up in the same color scheme this year if you don’t mind me Caseing your case!
Simone, I am with you in making more Christmas cards before the rush in December. I have started well too. What did you use for the water droplets/snow?
Thanks Kathryn, They are actually little clear sequins adhered with the fine tip glue pen! They are from the Metallics Sequin Assortment (page 177).
I like your take on the original, I have been veering toward the blues rather than traditional red and green for Christmas lately.
Simone, I so love your colour combination.
