Delicate Delight: March 2026 IDEAS

Welcome to the March IDEAS Tutorial project share. This month our theme is Stunning Scraps, and it’s one I think many papercrafters will appreciate.
If you’re anything like me, you probably have a small stash of patterned paper pieces that feel too nice to throw away but too small for many traditional card layouts. Over time those scraps build up, and it can be hard to know what to do with them.

For my project this month, I wanted to show a simple way to turn smaller pieces of patterned paper into a polished focal panel.
The panel can be made with offcuts and small pieces, then layered with a sentiment and trim for a clean, finished look. Once you’ve made a few of these panels, you can keep them ready to go for quick cards, tags, or gift toppers whenever you need them.

Last Chance for the Sign Design Punch
This card uses a small 2 ¼ x 2 ½ inch piece of the Delicate Dreams Specialty Designer Series Paper, which has such beautiful soft patterns and metallic accents. Even a small piece becomes a lovely focal point.
You could also use the Delicate Delight paper which I refer to in the tutorial. This is the bronze foil pack that coordinates with the rest of the suite of products.
I paired the patterned paper with a punched sentiment and a metallic mat layer, which helps frame the design and give the card a little extra presence. Can you believe the Sign Design punch was used to punch out that sentiment? The curved part is behind the patterned paper. The punch is on the Last Chance list at the moment, so well worth picking it up if you don’t already heave it.
This style of card is also very adaptable. Once you understand the basic layout, you can easily change the paper, the sentiment, or the embellishments depending on the occasion.
