Handy Technique for Swirls and Flourishes

Published by under cards | Jul 13 2009

Here’s a simple but effective technique to try with all those beautiful stamps with swirls and flourishes…

Stamp the image in StazOn black, then add colour to selected areas with the sponge dauber after smooshing it into your ink pad (here I’ve used Bashful Blue). Finish up by highlighting the details with a StampinWrite Marker (Mellow Moss above). Hmmm, will have to go try this with my So Swirly jumbo wheel. I can just see it down the side of a scrapbook page… (hmm, thinking, thinking)

Before I go, I just want to say hi to the lovely ladies who attended the Christmas In July class on Sunday. What a great way to spend the afternoon! I’m now taking names for the next class: the All Occassions Stamp-a-Stack, on Friday 31st July at 7pm. Spots are filling fast so if you are interested contact me to reserve your spot.
