Happy Easter

Published by under easter | Apr 04 2010

Wishing you a very happy Easter!

This is our first Easter in 8 years that we are not camping, so we've been making up some new family 'at home' traditions. Lots of fun.

Some of that was to spend time stamping, surprise surprise – LOL. My 6 year old DD decided she needed her own stamp desk, so we've found a corner in my craft room which is just for her. Today she learnt how to score cardstock, and which way to fold it ('mountain' on the inside, 'valley' on the outside).

We made this card for you!

Stamp set: Fox & Friends from the NEW mini catalogue, Sweet Slumber DSP, Wide Oval punch for easter eggs, Baja Breeze grosgrain ribbon, Chit Chat (retired) rubons. Fox & Friends embossed with clear embossing powder.

We also made you a little gift!

This pillow box was made using the Big Shot and the Pillow Box die. I LOVE my new Big Shot, who is now known as Mr Big in my house. It handled the acetate sheet without any dramas, and even the score lines came through.

These tags were punched out with the NEW Medium Jewelry Tag punch. You know what I discovered? Some of the stamps from Occasions For All (the Level 2 hostess set) fit perfectly in the punch. That's where these "happy" and "easter" stamps came from.

I've been working on some challenges today, and will share my first challenge for Just Add Ink tomorrow.

Before I leave you, I had to share this crazy lookin' easter egg that my chicken(!) produced. It just goes to show that not everything in life comes out as planned – even in nature. I took a photo of it next to a normal chook egg so you can see how little it is.

Enjoy the rest of your Easter!

Simone & DD thanks for the Easter card and pillow box of eggs.  I love the very cute Easter card. Thanks for showing off the possibilities of any SU stamp set being used in an Easter card!!!! You are both too clever. Now that chook egg, it looks alittle like a deflated balloon….LOL what have you been feeding the chooks? Hope your Easter was choc filled with love, laughter and fun times. Cheers Donna Zammit and my DD 9.
