Male Card: Shirt and Bow Tie
Hi friends,
Today I’m sharing one of the fun projects we made at Stamp Club this month. We usually make about 3 different projects, often a couple of cards and a 3D. This card was a cute little extra that we made just using patterned paper, the paper trimmer, the new Bow Builder punch and a few embellishments. It was based on one I spotted on Pinterest a while back by Karen Day. Always on the lookout for an easy-to-make male card!
We used some pretty funky paper to get some very 1970’s style shirts. Lovin’ those wide lapels. And we each chose our own papers so the cards all turned out so different. Some of our creations are pictured above.
To make this card, we cut a slightly narrower-than-normal card base of 14.5cm x 8.5cm (17cm folded in half).
The patterned paper (Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Paper in assorted designs) was 14.5cm x 10.5cm. We cut the paper so we ended up with one piece 14.5cm x 3.5cm (left side of card), and the other 14.5cm x 7cm (right side of card). The turned-down lapels revealed the other side of the double-sided Designer Series Paper.
We decorated our ‘shirts’ with assorted buttons and even punched circles (if we didn’t have the right coloured ‘buttons’). And then we finished it off with a bow from the fabulous new Bow Builder Punch.
