Final month of Sale-a-bration 2019: New Choices!

Published by under cards | Mar 04 2019

The Sale-a-bration party keeps getting better and better with a new third release of gift options. Included is the fabulous new Level 1 item (free with a AUD $90 purchase), Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper! Woohoo!!!

Some of our regular annual catalogue products can also be earned now as Sale-A-Bration rewards.

These extra choices are brilliant for those of us who already redeemed a few free gifts, and also for those who are still working on a wish list. We all love more options!

Third Release

Now you can choose from some of these core products from the annual Stampin’ Up! catalogue.

Tip: If you’re ordering online, make sure you use the unique item codes listed here and NOT the codes in the catalogue.

As you can probably tell, I’m so excited to see the Painted Seasons designer series paper is one of the choices. I LOVE this paper!

You can still get it for free along with the free matching stamp set when you place a AUD$180 order, but it’s nice to know you can get the paper on it’s own too.

Need help deciding?

If you can’t decide on which gifts to choose, have a good look at ALL the options in the online store. It might help to narrow down your favourites and make the choice that little bit easier.

View ALL the Level 1 gifts (free with a AUD$90 order) here.

View ALL the Level 2 gifts (free with a AUD$180 order) here.

Happy stamping,

Six New Products Available

Published by under cards | Mar 04 2019

Six fun new products are now available, and all are under $50.

More Than Words stamp set ($30)

This clever 17-piece photopolymer stamp set is designed to co-ordinate with many of the sentiments in current Sale-a-bration sets, including So Hoppy Together, Painted Seasons, Hello Cupcake, and Lasting Lily

Although the stamps in this set are designed to expand the existing sentiments, many of them also work well on their own. I love that it includes sentiments for multiple occasions in a variety of fonts.

Incredible Value Joining Special

Can you remember what you were doing back in Oct 1988? I was a teenager and I remember that’s the year we went to Brisbane for “Expo ’88” ? Gosh that seems like a long time ago now!

Time has moved on and trends have come and gone in 35 years, but now more than even I believe there is incredible value in having a hobby or interest of some sort, and a community for connection. So good for us for so many reasons ?

If papercrafting is your thing, and if you’ve been thinking about joining an amazing community of like-minded people, or even just looking at saving 20% off your crafty shopping, or maybe you’ve been part of the team in the past and you already know it’s a great deal… well I’ve got some excellent news.

Until October 31, you can choose one of the following options for your Starter Kit when you sign up as a new Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.

?? Option 1: Get 35% OFF the cost of your Starter Kit ($235 worth of product for $109.85)

?? Option 2: Get 35% MORE product with your Starter Kit (spend $169 and get $317.25 worth of product!)

Both options get you free shipping and free business supplies —not to mention all the fun that comes with being a part of Stampin’ Up! And, by signing up for this offer, you’ll even receive free registration to an online inspo and training event (called “OnStage”), valued at $123!

Lily Framelits Dies ($47)

The 7 framelits coordinate perfectly with the Lasting Lily stamp set (Level 2 Sale-a-bration gift). Create die-cut lilies and frames in a fraction of the time compared to “fussy cutting” (ie hand cutting with scissors).

Here’s a handy tip for you…

Carefully place the stamp face-down inside the framelit so the stamp follows the natural shape of the metal border. Then, place your block on top of the stamp to pick it up. This handy tip will ensure that the stamp isn’t distorted on the block. If it is, then the framelit won’t fit!

The Painted Seasons stamp set (part of the Level 2 Painted Seasons Sale-a-breation gift) has taken us all by storm, with it’s gorgeous watercoloured look, and ‘DistINKtive’ design.

If fussy cutting the flowers doesn’t sound like fun to you, then you’ll love this 10 piece die set. It creates flowers, leaves and a pinecone.

CTC 217: The Good Things

Published by under cards | Feb 23 2019

What’s CASE-ing The Catty? CASE stands for “Copy And Share Everything”. It means we use the ideas and inspiration from one project and apply them to another to create something altogether new. Each Sunday evening at 7pm AEST/8pm AEDT the CTC Crew kick off a new Challenge using the Stampin’ Up! catalogues as inspiration.

This week’s ‘CASEing The Catty’ Sunday Challenge has us looking at pages 24-33 of the latest Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalogue.

These pages feature dozens of great cards, gift packaging and even scrapbook pages.

I was inspired by the bright and bold box on the bottom of page 24.

In particular, I was inspired by some of the design elements including the central vertical ribbon, the bow at the top, patterned background and the central image/sentiment.

Using those design elements, I made this:

This card features a Basic Gray card base, a panel from the Petal Promenade designer series paper pack (still a favourite), a sentiment from the Butterfly Gala stamp set and pretty Petal Pink/Whisper White variegated ribbon. A panel of vellum adds some softness.

Would you like to have a go at this week’s challenge? To join in, you can either directly CASE (Copy and Share Everything) or use a sketch/layout, colour combination or something similar, as inspiration for your own creation. Then simply take a photo of your project and upload it to the latest challenge album in the CASEing The Catty Challenge group on Facebook. Each challenge will end at 7pm (AEST) on Saturday before the next challenge is posted. We pick some winners each week, but most importantly it’s a fun way to get out of your creative comfort zone and try something new.

A Little Hello with Butterflies

Published by under cards | Feb 12 2019

Card featuring Stampin' Up!'s butterfly elements and Botanical Butterfly paper

You know, it’s funny. We are halfway through February but it really feels like the year is only just beginning. Do you ever feel that way?

The kids are back at school (well, mostly – we now have a uni student who still has a couple of weeks). The hot days are over and we are ready to knuckle down for an awesome year. And thankfully, the blog issues that have been plaguing me for a few weeks are all fixed.

I hope your 2019 is off to an amazing start. xxx

Today I’m here to share some ideas and inspiration for those of you who recently got your hands on some fabulous new BUTTERFLY products.

A look through the latest Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration brochure reveals an awesome collection of coordinating products featuring butterflies.

There’s patterned paper, stamps, thinlits dies, a punch and even pressed wood elements. All so pretty!

Not sure where to find your favourite butterfly products?

I know, it’s a bit confusing trying to find where they all are, but this table should help:

*If an item is in the Sale-a-bration brochure it can be chosen for FREE with a AUD$90 order – you can’t buy it separately.

Wooden Butterfly Elements

I love how these Butterfly elements coordinate so beautifully in both shape and size with the punch and papers.

Butterfly Gala Bundle: Stamps & Punch

The Butterfly Gala bundle features a stamp set and punch. The stamps are cleverly designed so that when you stamp with the butterfly images you get a large and small butterfly from a single impression. And conveniently, the punch perfectly lines up with both butterflies at the same time!

Ideas & Inspiration

Just a head’s up about the butterflies… although the Butterfly Duet punch *will* be available in the upcoming annual catalogue, stocks are a little low at the moment so they may temporarily become unavailable. If you want to get your hands on this punch but find that you can’t order it, please reach out to me.

Have a fabulous day!

CTC 213: Floral Romance Notebook (for Travellers Notebook Journal)

Published by under cards | Jan 27 2019

What’s CASE-ing The Catty? CASE stands for “Copy And Share Everything”. It means we use the ideas and inspiration from one project and apply them to another to create something altogether new. Each Sunday evening at 7pm AEST/8pm AEDT the CTC Crew kick off a new Challenge using the Stampin’ Up! catalogues as inspiration.

This week’s challenge is to CASE a project from pages 10-13 of the lovely new Occasions Catalogue, featuring the Floral Romance suite of products.

This is such a sweet and pretty combination of colours, layouts and products, it was a challenge picking just one element to CASE.

My main inspiration came from the gorgeous Floral Romance Specialty paper, which includes printed vellum. Wow. I literally wanted to use every different pattern in the pack… so I did!

My creative ‘play time’ led me down a very fun path. I ended up creating a 12-page notebook featuring every pattern in the Floral Romance pack.

Travellers Notebook

The notebook is 5″ x 7″ and I made it to fit inside my TN (travellers notebook) journal. The pages of the notebook are all made from the Floral Romance paper.

The outer cover is printed vellum, and is so lovely to touch. It has a bit of sponging, and I will add a label to the front once I finalise what I will use it for. At this stage, I think it will become my Gratitude Journal for 2019.

Here’s a quick flick-through of the pages of the notebook.

(If the video isn’t showing in your feed/browser, please click here to view)

I lined the pages with panels of white cardstock so I’d have a great surface to write on. You can see the final couple of pages in this video were before the white panel was added. If you just wanted to add photos to your notebook, you could mount them straight on to the paper and not worry about adding the writing panel.

I absolutely love how this notebook turned out.

I added a removable bookmark to the front with a hidden paperclip, and highlighted the pages with Beautifully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.

Here are a few of the pages:

New Catalogue & Sale-a-bration Begins

Published by under cards | Jan 03 2019

Yay! It’s here!

Download the digital version of the brand new 55 Occasions Catalogue HERE.

Earn a free gift from the Sale-a-bration brochure, with every $90 spent with Stampin’ Up!

And the exciting news continues…

Stampin’ Up! have made some changes to the labels that we place on the back of our red rubber stamps. They are now VERY STICKY so you won’t ever again be frustrated by stamps falling off the blocks.

Stampin’ Up! are calling stamps with the new sticky labels “Cling stamps”, and they were first introduced in Japan beginning with their 2018-2019 annual catalogue and have been a smashing success since then.

A few things to note:

  • Beginning with the 2019 occasions catalogue and Sale-A-Bration brochure, all new stamp sets will be available either in cling (for red rubber stamps) or photopolymer.
  • Stamps in the 2018-2019 annual catalogue will continue to be available in clear-mount, wood-mount or photopolymer.
  • Red rubber stamp sets (clear-mount or wood-mount) in the annual catalogue that will be carrying over will transition to cling with the 2019-2020 annual catalogue.
  • In 2019-2020 annual catalogue, clear-mount and wood-mount stamps* will no longer be available.

Labelling cling stamps is a slightly different process than you may be used to. Once you place the label on the stamp, it is adhered permanently so you have to be careful. There are instructions in the set so just follow those and you’ll be fine. To remove the stamp from the block, grasp securely near the image label and remove slowly. (Cling stamps stick so well that if they are not carefully removed from the block, the foam can tear.)

I’ve been using them for quite a few weeks now, and I can tell you that they are absolutely awesome. Even though the rubber part is exactly the same as it was before, the improved labels which clings to the block will make your stamping experience even more enjoyable.

Are you curious to know which stamp sets in the new Occasions catalogue are CLING STAMPS? Download this document.
