Quick Tear & Layer Card with Velvet Meadow Paper
This month’s IDEAS Tutorial Bundle theme is Fast & Fabulous. I couldn’t resist creating something that looks a little bit special, thanks to the new flocked Velvet Meadow patterned paper, but is actually very quick to put together.
If you’ve ever sat down to craft and thought, “I just want something simple that still looks beautiful,” this one is for you.

Velvet Meadow Specialty Paper
The card is based on a really easy layout but the star of the show is the amazing Velvet Meadow Specialty Designer Series Paper, out now in the brand new May-August 2026 Catalogue by Stampin’ Up!.
This paper is amazing because it has soft flocking on one side of each sheet of paper in the pack (there are two each of six double-sided designs). You just have to feel it! If you want to try it out, make sure you have a look at my limited edition paper shares. These are only open for purchase for one week, because I have to get them all ordered and packed and sent off before we leave for the Stampin’ Up! incentive trip to Alaska in just a few weeks.
You can learn more about the Velvet Meadow patterned papers here, and click through the photos for more card inspiration.?
I’ve paired this card with a coordinating treat pouch, made using a Party Banners die. It folds together quickly and creates a sweet little pocket that’s perfect for a small wrapped gift.
Together, they make a lovely set for a friend, a get-well gift, or just a little something to brighten someone’s day.

Want to create this yourself?
You’ll find the full step-by-step instructions, measurements, and supply list for both the card and the coordinating treat pouch in this month’s IDEAS Tutorial Bundle.
This bundle is packed with projects from demonstrators around the world, all designed around the Fast & Fabulous theme which is perfect for when you want something quick, but still special.
You can see some more sneak peeks of the projects in the bundle by visiting our design team members below:
