CTC 138: Celebrate with Santa’s Sleigh by Stampin’ Up!

Oh my goodness, it’s been far too long since I joined in the Case-ing The Catty blog hop. I’m excited to be back!

We have just returned from the amazing Stampin’ Up! incentive trip to Thailand. If you’ve been following our adventures over on Facebook you’ll know I was working on a special project for the trip which took up most of my crafting time in the weeks before the trip (I’ll share more about that next week.) It was all fun, but I’m thrilled to get back to CASE-ing the catalogue, along with the inspirational and very talented CTC crew.

Oooh and a big Congrats to the new crew members who have joined in recent weeks. xxx

Our focus this week is the Christmas section on pages 112 – 125 of the annual Stampin’ Up! catalogue.

Santa’s Sleigh

Straight away I looked to the card on page 119 (see above), featuring the Santa’s Sleigh stamp set and coordinating Santa’s Sleigh thinlit dies.

First, an almost exact copy of the original. This is a cute shaker frame card that we’ve made in my recent classes and events.

Then I tried the layout in a different colour-way (Tranquil Tide and gold) and also used different elements of the Santa’s Sleigh framelits.

I’m really loving the new Metallic-Edge Ribbon, which is available in both gold and silver.

I have completely fallen in love with this colour combo!

Tranquil Tide and Gold = Love! I think I will have to come back to these colours for future Christmas cards, it looks so regal and rich. I might have a go at making this in Elegant Eggplant and gold too. That’s tomorrow’s project!

   I always love a good shaker card! The first one is fab but I love the colour combo of Tranquil Tide and Gold. That sleigh looks amazing!! Adding another one to list to case!
