Sweet Threads and Lace
Sweet Threads Simply Sent kit and Delicate Designs Lace Tape, new products in Stampin' Up!'s Seasonal Catalogue
Oh what fun. Today I made some cards with the new Sweet Threads Simply Sent card kit, and took a trip down memory lane in the process.
Amazingly, given my obsession with papercrafts now, I use to be an avid cross stitcher! I guess many of us dabbled in all kinds of crafts over the years.
I remember visiting Mum's friend, Wendy, who was a huge inspiration. She had a craft collection that I can still picture today, and taught me all about Aida cloth and the artful pursuit of making the back look just like the front.
Thankfully the new Sweet Threads Simply Sent kit by Stampin' Up! is a quick and easy way to got my cross stitch fix. It's one of the great new kits in our Seasonal Catalogue (p22).
Check out what's in the Sweet Threads Simply Sent kit.
Sweet Threads Simply Sent card kit, $22.95 (AUD)
There's enough in there to make 8 completed cards with envelopes – 4 flower and 4 cake cross stitches (paper pattern), dimensionals, embroidery floss and a couple of needles.
I changed my 'cake' slightly, by adding in a few half stitches.
The lace across the background is another new product from the Seasonal Catalogue.
Delicate Details Lace Tape (p3). It's a self-adhesive paper tape! How clever is that!
And because it peels off a backing sheet you can sponge it or stamp it or do anything you want with it!
Here, this image might help to show you what it's like…
Delicate Details Lace Tape is $16.95 (AUD) and you get TWO different rolls of paper lace tape. I'm SO GLAD it's got adhesive already on it. It can be so fiddly trying to get adhesive on delicate designs like this.
Don't yet have the new Seasonal Catalogue? You can download and save it so you can view it anywhere and everywhere. When you're ready to order just email your shopping list and I'll arrange to get everything you want delivered to your door. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Happy stamping,
TFS. I have been wanting to know how these are. My Miss 8 and Miss 13 have been very busy over summer doing cross stitch – at least someone is making a dent in the aida cloth and cotton! Thought these would be a great little something to put away.
Great to hear your girls had a creative summer Vicki. My Miss 9 loves trying all different crafts too… and is a way better knitter than me! Thanks for visiting. xx
