Exciting News: Colour Renovation

Published by under Colour Renovation

Stampin' Up! announces a Colour Renovation!

This is amazing and wonderful news!! When the next big catalogue is released in September we'll be saying goodbye to some existing colours, and a big warm HELLO to 5 brand new colours. WooHooo!

Not only that, some of our current and past IN COLOURS will become part of the 4 core collections.

Although it will be a little sad to bid farewell to some of the colours we know so well, there's still plenty of time to stock up on cardstock and ink refills… 4 months in fact!

Click here to download the new Colour Collections that will be available from September 2010.

Click here to download the Retiring Colours – only available until August 2010
UNLESS SOLD OUT EARLIER.

You may wonder why this colour change is happening?

Well, it wasn't hard to work out (going by sales mainly) that some colours were loved more than others. It doesn't make much sense to continue stocking and offering product that isn't being used! It makes sense to stay ahead of the game and keep up to date with colour trends (think back to the colours of the 1970s and you'll know what I mean!).

Another reason why this change is happening is because WE ASKED FOR IT! The In Colours from the past few years were hugely popular and were seriously gorgeous. It was too sad to see them go forever… well now some of them will be back (including most of our current In Colours – yippeee). Some colours have to retire to make way for the new ones! It's that simple.

You'll hear more about this over the next few months, but for now I've got a super simple project to share…

No stamping on this card at all!!!

The main panel is from the Cottage Wall DSP (Designer Series Paper). The sentiment was a rub-on on Rich Razzleberry cardstock, and punched out with the Wide Oval punch. The gorgeous polka-dot Razzleberry ribbon finishes it off quickly and easily.

I'll be back tomorrow with some fun Tess cards.
Happy Stamping,

Cottage Garden and Cottage Wall

Published by under cards

There are so many beautiful new products in the brand new Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue, that I honestly sat here for a while thinking 'where do I start?'.

As you saw in my last post, the 3 new stars of the show are:

  •  The Sizzix Big Shot with Stampin' Up! exclusive co-ordinating dies,
  •  New slim-line punches, and
  •  New stamps with the option of clear-mount or wood mount.

Today I want to share with you one of those new sets. This one is called Cottage Garden (p31) and co-ordinates with the stunning Cottage Wall 12 x 12 designer series paper (p30). AND the new (to us) Rich Razzleberry In Colour – available until end of August only! YUMMY!!!

You'll be seeing lots more samples of these in the coming weeks. And oh my goodness, did I mention you can even get co-ordinating printed window sheets!!

Yes, I'm a bit excited.

I love this set so much, and thought I'd get it in the clear-mounted version, just to have a go.

Well, I LOVE it. The stamps come in the same great quality red-rubber as we are used to, but with a static cling coating on the back which (after a few seconds of pressure) stays well attached to the clear blocks. I was surprised when I tried the blocks first time, too. Easy to hold grooves all the way around, and quite a bit thicker than I was expecting. They end up being about the same height as the wood block version.

If you want to check out some great YouTube videos on the clear mount option, visit Stampin' Up!'s demonstration by clicking HERE. An alternative method to assembling the stamps can be found on Dawn's Stamping Thoughts video HERE.

Of course, if you prefer wood mounts you can still get those!

Okey dokey, I'll be back tomorrow to wish you a Happy Easter.

Till then,
