OWL PUNCH Tip of the Day: Turn the 'owl head' upside down to create funny looking monsters. Trim the 'owl claws' so that only 'monster antennas' remain, to which the smaller circles can be added. Sponge ink on the edges to add dimension.
Happy stamping,

OWL PUNCH Tip of the Day: Punch an extra pair of inner eyes in a contrasting colour. The eyes are conveniently found on the top edge of the punch so you don't waste cardstock cutting out unnecessary pieces. Simply cut them to size and adhere to the rest of the eye to create eyelids. Draw eyelashes with a Stampin' Write marker.
Strange fact of the day: Owls actually have 3 eyelids!
Happy stamping,
Hello, thanks for stopping by 🙂
I mentioned in my last post that the Beautiful Wings embosslits die and the Shimmer Paint were two of my favourite things in the new Stampin' Up! catalogue. Well, the owl punch is right up there in the Top 5 too!
It actually punches out 9 separate elements that you put together in layers to create an owl. How clever is that!
This was the fun little card we made at Stamp Club earlier this month, we used the lovely new Shimmery White cardstock for the moon but it doesn't show up too well in the photos.
Like many others, I've been fascinated with all the different creations you can make with this punch – no, definitely not just owls! Everything from bats, penguins, girls, ghosts, monsters… and the list goes on! I've been making some of them this week, and have scheduled a new blog post to appear every day for the next 5 days, with different punch art creations from this owl punch. Many of them were inspired by other papercrafters that have been circulating around the 'net so it's impossible to give credit now to the original designer, but if I know who came up with the idea I'll let you know.
