Touched My Heart by Stampin’ Up! [The Spot #124]

Welcome to this week’s project for The Spot Creative Challenge. And for something a bit different, we have a gorgeous colour challenge!

About THE SPOT CREATIVE CHALLENGE:
Each week our Design Team of international creatives share projects based on a new challenge. It could be a sketch, a technique, a colour challenge or – as it is in this week – a theme challenge.
Each Tuesday at 9pm (Syd/Mel time) you’ll see a new challenge post on the challenge website (click to visit). You can play along, and if you want you can even enter your card in the weekly challenge by uploading your project (and you don’t even need a blog!).
A winner will be chosen each week.
Paper Piecing Technique
I used the Touched My Heart stamp set for this card, and a little paper piecing. This stamp set is a HOST set, so it’s available for anyone who places a qualifying order (in Australia this is $250).

Have you tried the Paper Piecing technique?
Simply stamp the same image on different coloured cardstock pieces, trim out the elements you need, and layer them together to create a single multi-coloured image.
It’s a bit like a jigsaw puzzle!

The trickiest bit for this card was cutting out those teeny tiny leaves.
The outline was stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink, the heart was trimmed from Cinnamon Cider cardstock, and the leaves were trimmed from Mint Macaron cardstock.
Colour Challenge – accepted!
Your Challenge
So now it’s your turn. Grab these colours – in ink, patterned paper or cardstock – then create a project. When you’ve finished, jump over to The Spot and upload a photo of your project. Have fun!
Happy stamping,
