CASE-ing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop

Happy Valentines Day

Love is in the air this week, as the CASE-ing The Catty crew get in the mood for Valentines Day.

This time we’re taking inspiration from any of the current catalogues, so I went for the cute Groovy Love card on page 20 of the annual Stampin’ Up! catalogue.

You can see the original in my catalogue on the right, and my version on the left.

CASEing the Stampin' Up! catalogue - this time we took our inspiration from page 20 of the annual catalogue

I used some pretties from the Occasions catalogue including the divine Blushing Bride glimmer paper and the Love Blossoms Embellishment kit.

  • Beautiful Wings

The gorgeous Beautiful Wings Embosslits(TM) die is one of my TOP 5 favourite things in the new 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalogue. We had a little play with it at stamp club last week, and I couldn't help but add some shimmer paint to one of the butterflies. Hmm, I'm thinking that the shimmer…

    One Sheet Wonder

I wanted to make a whole bunch of cards for a lovely group of crafty ladies I met recently, so it was  “One Sheet Wonder” time.   First, I stamped an A4 sheet of Whisper White cardstock in Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy and Sahara Sand, with stamps from the Priceless stamp set. I cut and scored a few pages of…

  1. oh I much prefer your version Simone. Such a lot of lovely details, the seam binding tied through the heart is just perfect. Must get the Annual Catalogue out for another look! thanks for the inspiration.

    1. Aww thanks Liz 🙂 And yes I’m guilty of not looking at the Annual Catalogue as much with so many shiny new things in the seasonal catalogues. But it’s well worth revisiting the annual.

    1. Thanks Julia. The dots came in the embellishment pack – I love them too! It’s a little difficult to see in the photo but those dots actually have glitter in them. Gorgeous up close.

  2. What a lovely case Simone. I too prefer your card to the one in the catty. The love blossoms embellishment kit looks to have some great little additions in it. I might have to do a bit of shopping after the hop ?

  3. This card is so stunning Simone. I love it!
Yours should be in the catologue, it’s even prettier than the one on display.

Thanks for leaving a comment today... you've made my day!
