JAI11 Just Add Ink Challenge: Cheeky Monkeys
I've been a fan of the Just Add Ink blog since it first started in January. I love looking at the projects created by the very talented design team, and often 'play along' with the weekly challenges… although I haven't officially joined in before today. Another thing I really love is the fact that the blog is designed by – and for – Aussie fans of Stampin' Up!, which means they use products that are available to us here and now. Hoo-ray for that!
When you visit Just Add Ink, don't forget to click on the tabs across the top especially the Tutorials one. I loved Sarah Klass's video on making a headband from Stampin' Up! ribbons and other bits and pieces. Sarah is such a crack-up!!! LOVE those ribbon flowers!!
Anyway, back to business. This week's challenge made me laugh… "use anything you like, make anything you like". Well, I thought, I can do that!!! So here I am to share with you my cheeky monkeys from the new Fox & Friends stamp set, available now in the new Autumn-Winter mini catalogue.
The chocolate cardstock that the monkeys are sitting on is actually covered in ultra fine supernova glitter, but of course that's not going to show up for me here no matter how many dozens of photos I take – grrrr.
The jungle leaves are made from the Little Leaves sizzlits die and were cut oh so easily with the help of Mr Big (aka my Big Shot), also available now.
I was in the middle of making swaps for our team (more about that later) when I switched projects half-way through. Yep, ended up making a whole stack of cheeky monkeys instead of Rich Razzleberry flowers!
You have to laugh sometimes, don't you?
Anyway, I do believe this qualifies for this week's JAI11 challenge, so here you go Danielle and Amanda – my very first submission! LOL.
ETA (8/4/10): Ooooh how excitement!! I was one of the Top 5 picks this week at Just Add Ink! Thanks girls xx
Happy stamping,
