Long Time No See – Christmas In July

Welcome to our July IDEAS blog hop! This month’s theme is Holidays… a very broad topic that we can interpret any way we like! Some of the team are doing trips away (on holidays), Christmas in July, summer projects and more. I’ve chosen to do Christmas in July as my theme, and I’m bringing you plenty of early festive cheer to inspire your next creative session. With the release of brand new Online Exclusives this month, you’ll even see some lovely products in action for the first time.

My project features the new Long Time No See stamp set, and I couldn’t resist making a fun expanding card and matching treat holder — both starring a very dapper dachshund in a festive jumper.
Here’s a sneak peek:

The card has a surprise inside — as it unfolds, the dog stretches across the full length of the panel! I used the paper piecing technique to decorate the sweater with strips of designer paper, and coloured the lights with Darling Duckling Stampin’ Blends for a sweet pop of festive colour. The matching matchbook treat holder is a simple fold that holds a small chocolate, perfect for table favours or little gifts.
You’ll find step-by-step instructions, full measurements (in metric and imperial), and colour photos in this month’s tutorial — along with a whole collection of projects from demonstrators around the world.
