I have to admit, these colours were a challenge for me this time but I’m so glad I joined in. After all, getting out of the comfort zone is the best part of doing these challenges!
I started with a Mossy Meadow tent-fold card base, then layers of black and Bumble Bee cardstock, with an extra Mossy Meadow patterned paper from the new Heartwarming Hugs designer series paper.
The gorgeous provided all that lovely foliage, from vellum and Bumblebee cardstock.
The few strands of thread behind the sentiment were actually from the – the black and white thread.
I cut off the length needed and then just separated the black from the white, as shown in the pic above.
And in more bright and sunny news… the new BOX OF SUNSHINE kits are now available!
This special card-making kit includes supplies to make 8 cards & envelopes – and then you can use the gift box to create a care package for a friend. TO ORDER CLICK HERE
Hi friends, Well it’s a busy day on the blog today – with the launch of the new Mini Catalogue and also the release of our monthly Tutorial bundle giveaway.
But I couldn’t miss also joining in with this week’s challenge over on The Spot.
With a theme that includes Coffee, Cocktails and Chocolates – seriously, how could I resist?!
For my contribution this week, I created a card and decorated mini coffee cup which doubles as a treat holder.
Both creations were made with some of the gorgeous products from the Heartwarming Hugs Suite. Check it out here.
On this card we used the Warm Hugs stamp set and coordinating Warm Wraps dies (also available as a bundle to save you 10%). Also the fabulous new Wrapped In Texture embossing folders.
The cute coffee cups are only just a little smaller than the regular cups that we have here in Australia, although having been to the US a few times I know they are considered ‘mini’ by their standards.
They would be fun to hold a gift card, some money, some yummy treats or even… coffee!
Here’s the link to this week’s challenge page so you can see what the other Design Team members created this week. Truly fabulous projects there.
About THE SPOT CREATIVE CHALLENGE:
Each week our Design Team of international creatives share projects based on a new challenge. It could be a sketch, a technique, a colour challenge or – as it is in this week – a theme challenge.
Each Tuesday at 9pm (Syd/Mel time) you’ll see a new challenge post on the challenge website (click to visit). You can play along, and if you want you can even enter your card in the weekly challenge by uploading your project (and you don’t even need a blog!). A winner will be chosen each week.
Thanks for visiting today, and I hope you continue to have an awesome week.
Sending extra big hugs to my crafty friends here in Victoria, Australia, who are doing it tough at the moment with the new tighter Covid lockdowns. We’ll get through this… at least we have our craft!
Officially called the August – December Mini Catalogue, it includes Christmas-themed products, some for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and more.
Be warned – you’ll be blown away!
New stamps, tools, embellishments, papers… so many clever products that are all about FUN. And we sure need some of that in our lives at the moment.
