CTC 133: Ribbon of Courage

Published by under cards | Jun 18 2017

C

Ribbon of Courage

The inspiration for my card this week came from the very special , and in particular the card on the bottom right of page 97.

A few changes were made, of course. I swapped out the ribbon image for the hearts, but that card was certainly a great place to jump-start the creative process.

I ended up making quite a few of these for a team swap recently.

The hearts were cut out with the  and there’s just a touch of poking out from behind the feature layer.

I really love the thoughtful sentiments in this set…

  • “Live every moment, Laugh every day, Love with all your heart”
  • “Sending love and hugs to you”
  • “With faith all things are possible”
  • and “Courage”.

Now aren’t they just words to live by.

Next stop on the hop is Monique, and you can find her post here.

CTC131: Everyday Occasions

Published by under cards | Jun 04 2017

.

Welcome to this week’s CASEing the Catty blog hop.
Every Sunday night at 7pm AEST, the CTC Crew share great ideas from the latest Stampin’ Up! Catalogues.  We either directly CASE (Copy and Share Everything) a project in the catalogue, or we use an aspect like a layout or colour combo as inspiration for our own creations.
This week, we are sharing our projects inspired by the Everyday Occasions section of the brand new annual catalogue, pages 18-67.

Come and join us! Make your own project and share it  in the CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge Facebook Group.

Welcome to the first CTC Challenge of the NEW catalogue.

I’ve missed playing along lately, but it’s been a rather busy few weeks to say the least. We had the Shepparton CraftAlive expo, launch of the new catalogue, and some extra special excitement  (which can read about on my Facebook page).

The Everyday Occasions section is very big, so it wasn’t easy to narrow it down but I really wanted to share with you my take on the Label Me Pretty tags that you can see on the top of page 27.

Label Me Pretty stamp set and punch bundle - from page 27 of the new 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! annual catalogue

What a fabulous bundle to make awesome tags for all different occasions.

I loved the cute size so took inspiration from the layered labels, switched out the colours and made mini 3″x3″ note cards.

The tag on the daisy vase is a closer match to the tags on page 27. The tag was one of the free make & tags that Erin Zobec (a fabulous Stampin’ Up! demonstrator from the Shepparton region) and I did at CraftAlive recently, so I had to pop that in the photo too. I’ll talk more about the daisies in a future post.

I’m really REALLY loving the new In Colours which will be around from now and for the next TWO years! They look amazing together but also when paired with many of the core Stampin’ Up! colours.

I love how the 3×3 note cards fit in the Wood Crate framelits. These would make a cute little gift.

Let’s continue around the hop now and see what my fabulous friend Mel has in store for us.
