I must have been a magpie in another life because I LOVE shiny things! I’ve always loved the superfine Dazzling Diamond glitter, So I guess it’s no suprise that I’ve fallen in love with Stampin’ Up!’s new chunky glitter and have been using it like mad lately. It’s in the Summer mini catalogue (p15) and comes in a pack of four colours. I was surprised how big the containers are – they should last a while.
I’m having a bit of trouble taking pics of my newest creations (think big stars with chunky blue glitter on white cardstock), but I’d love to share this chunky glitter card that Jenny Myerscough (demo in Rowville, VIC) made for me. Isn’t she talented?!

Ok, so you’ve managed to find some peace and quiet (yes, a feat in itself), your inks and stamps are all set to go, and you are ready for inspiration to strike…. but…. nothing happens! Your stamping mojo has disappeared! What do you do next?
Well, the answer is simple and it’s something I’ve done many times, because my stamping mojo frequently disappears, let me tell you! I grab my Stampin’ Up! Idea Book & Catalogue and flick through it until I see a design that catches my eye. Force yourself to NOT look at the stamp sets (yes, I know it’s hard… but you can do it 🙂 ) Just look at the layouts. Don’t worry if you don’t have the same stamp set, or the same coloured cardstock, or rub ons, or the right ribbon. Trust me, that’s not important for this exercise (and you can always order them from me later LOL *big grin*).
Now, make up the card by swapping the stamps and supplies for what you have available but try to follow the card design/layout as best you can. It’s heaps of fun, and saves you having to ‘think’. It’s just like following a recipe. Within no time at all, you’ll have created something new and your stamping mojo will be back!
Now, just for fun… who can tell me which page I CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) these cards from? (Check the current Australian Idea Book & Catalogue). Leave a comment when you’ve worked out which page.

Your turn to have a go! Email me a card that you CASEd/adapted from the IB&C and let me work out where the inspiration came from.
Tomorrow is Australia Day, but I’ll be back on Tuesday to announce an exciting venture for papercraft lovers in the Creswick & District area, to help get you stamping, scrapping & creating, and to enjoy some ‘me time’.
Till then, happy stamping!

Hello again and happy new year to my visitors! It’s great to be back and crafting again after a wonderful but hectic Christmas and New Year time.
We had a great Christmas. Hope you enjoyed yours! The kids were so excited to open their presents – hearing their squeals of delight was priceless (although 5.50am might have been a *little* early for squeals).
We went to Mum and Dad’s on Christmas morning, and spent the day there with family. Mum put on an amazing feast for us all – she’s truly amazing. Highlights for me were watching the kids opening their family presents outside in the beautiful sunshine, spending time with my sister and her gorgeous boys, and the walk we all went on after lunch.
Our stamp club for January was held on Friday. It was so lovely to see all the ladies again and to spend a bit of time stamping together. We did the Emerging Colour technique (above), using inks, the All In The Stars stamp set, clear embossing powder and the brayer. To finish up they all stamped a 2009 calendar bookmark.
Now a new month and a new Year brings lots of new treats from Stampin’ Up!
January marks the start of one of the highlights on the Stampin’ Up! calendar: Sale-a-bration. Yes, free stamps! It’s the perfect time to book that workshop you’ve been planning to have 😉
Do you have a copy of the Sale-a-bration brochure? Shoot me an email and I’ll get one in the post to you.
Happy stamping,
