September IDEAS Tutorial: Cork Projects

Published by under cards

The year is racing along… I can hardly believe it’s already time to launch the September IDEAS tutorial bundle – but here it is! If you’re not familiar with IDEAS tutorial bundle, let me tell you that you can get this huge document (usually around 70 pages each month) for FREE as a gift for placing a $50+ order anytime during the month.

This amazing tutorial bundle has been carefully curated just for you. It is filled with project ideas and inspiration… and all featuring different stamps and suites. The theme this month is sure to be a hit: Masculine projects!

These tutorials were created by the IDEAS Design Team, a collective of international crafters. Each contributor makes unique tutorials to help inspire you and to make your crafting easy and fun. You’ll find at least a card and a 3D project from EVERY one of the talented contributors within the pages of this tutorial bundle.

The collage above is a sneak peek of the projects the Design Team have contributed this month.

To get your hands on this file, simply place a $50+ order of Stampin’ Up! products with me during the month of SEPTEMEBER. This can be done through my , or by contacting me by email, by Facebook or phone. It’s also available for separate purchase and is provided to my team members for free in our team forum and also to my stamp club members.

Once you have received the tutorials, please remember they are for your personal use only, so that means you can’t distribute any printed or electronic copies of these bundles.

September 2021 Theme: Everything Masculine

Many of us find it a little challenging to make cards or projects for the men in our lives. If you fall into that category too, then you’re in for a treat this month. Each member of the design team has created a 3D project and a card that is suitable for men.

This month I used the Cork specialty paper… which, let me tell you, is like nothing I’ve ever worked with before. It has an almost velvety feel to it, and does feel more like wood than paper, but also has the flexibility of material/fabric. It’s quite hard to explain, really! I found it really interesting to work with, and absolutely loved the result.

My projects include a square card and a decorated note book.

You can have a look at a sneak peek of each of the designer’s projects by joining us on this blog hop. Click on the button below to check out the next great project which is from Sara Rayner!

Don’t forget, all it takes is a $50AUD order anytime in September and the entire tutorial bundle is yours.

Happy stamping,

Bloom Where You’re Planted – YCCI

Published by under cards

Each month our You Can Create It (YCCI) subscribers are given a packet of supplies – like cardstock, paper and embellishments – and the challenge is to turn those supplies into a completed project.

The August packet featured some of the gorgeous products from the Bloom Where You’re Planted suite.

September 2021 Kit Contents

The packet included:

  • Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper,
  • a paper Lattice,
  • Linen Specialty Paper
  • Gray Granite cardstock

For the challenge, subscribers can also add anything from the ‘extra materials’ packet or anything from their own supplies.

I created this fun gatefold card, with the paper lattice adding an interesting element to the gate.

Design Team Projects

Once again the YCCI design team have done an amazing job of converting these items to stunning projects. Enjoy the inspiration and if you’d like more info just click on the artist’s name.

Registration for the next round of YCCI kits is now open (October – December, 3 months of supplies sent quarterly). Interested? Contact me.

Cost for each quarter is AUD$25. Best of all, you’ll get to see and try brand new products.

Were you inspired by the contents in this month’s pack? Play along with us!

Just gather up these same supplies and see what you can come up with.

Let’s create!

News from Stampin’Up! (and an overdue chat)

Published by under cards

Hi friends,

It’s been a while since I checked in to say hello and to update you on all the happenings with Stampin’ Up! and my little corner of the world. But like some you… well, this past year or so has been a challenging one, to say the least.

We’ve recently come in and out of our 5th and 6th lockdowns here in Regional Victoria (as of today) and I have to say that it’s not getting any easier! Remote learning for the kids, ballet classes on zoom, stand downs at work, lockdown birthdays and cancelled craft classes… Aren’t we learning all kinds of valuable life skills like resilience and patience and being able to pivot. 🙂 Thank you all for your patience while I haven’t been posting as much as normal. I promise, I’m still here and I continue to love taking your calls, helping with orders and teaching card classes (when permitted).

I hope wherever you are, you are happy and keeping positive. There is a lot to be grateful for, which is what I’m focusing on. Not the least of which is a brand new mini Christmas catalogue, freebies in the form of Sale-a-bration gifts, and my ultimate fave… Christmas crafting.

These new catalogues came out in the past week, and I thought this would be a good time to run through everything and share some highlights.

New Mini Catalogue

On the cover you’ll notice it says July-December Mini Catalogue, but really it’s the August-December one. Covid! (Enough said). It is now LIVE and will be with us for the rest of 2021.

You can download and view the digital catalogue here.

OR you can browse the online store here to see all the products in this catalogue

There are some truly adorable new products in this 79 page catalogue.

Some highlights include the 8 new Product Suites, including 5 Christmas themed suites!
They are:

Gingerbread and Peppermint

Painted Christmas

Sweet Stockings

Peaceful Place

Whimsy & Wonder

Other highlights include:

  • New gift packaging
  • punches, dies and embossing folders
  • ribbons, embellishments
  • background stamps
  • specialty papers (check out the cork paper!)
  • ephemera packs (complete with foiled, pre-cut pieces)
  • stamps, stamps and more stamps, including gorgeous sentiments, realistic scenery, animals and more
  • bundles (save 10% when you buy coordinating products)

Sale-a-bration (Part 2 for 2021!)

Sale-a-bration is a special event that traditionally ran only at the start of each year.

This year Stampin’ Up! decided to mix things up a bit. We had a 2 month Sale-a-bration at the start of the year… and now we are having it again for another 2 months!

But if you are new here, you might be wondering… what happens during Sale-a-bration?

Well, it really is the BEST time to shop, because for every $90 spent on any current products you get a FREE GIFT from the Sale-a-bration brochure!

And these aren’t little token gifts, either. They are full-size stamp sets, packets of paper and even cutting dies.

Download a digital copy of the Sale-a-bration brochure HERE.

A free bundle when you join!

Sale-a-bration is a great time to join the Stampin’ Up! community too.

The total cost to join is still only $169 and you get to choose $235 worth of products as usual… BUT between now and the end of September you can also choose an additional FREE BUNDLE of stamps and dies (or stamps and punches if you prefer) from the latest mini catalogue. They are valued at up to $104, so it’s a brilliant opportunity to get up to $339 worth of products for only $169.

And postage on the whole lot is totally free!

Here are the bundles you can choose from…

Of course, you’ll also get all the usual perks of joining the Stampin’ Up! community too, such as an ongoing 20%-32% discount, pre-order opportunities, and a way to start your own business. Learn more here.

Want to join and get started on your Stampin’ Up! journey? Or have you been part of our community in the past and you’d like to rejoin? Click here.

So there you go… I think we are all up to date with news from Stampin’ Up!

I just want to give all my stamping friends and customers a big virtual hug xxx

With half of the Australian population in lockdown at the moment, it really is a challenging time. Believe me, I’m feeling the pain too! Let’s keep crafting and keep smiling and keep our chins up (yep, all our chins hehe). We’ll get through this and get back to normal… well, our new normal… soon. How lucky are we to have a creative outlet that is both practical and fun. xxx
