Merry Christmas! Here we are and it’s Boxing Day already. I hope you’ve had a wonderful few days of merriment and festivity. 

We had a gorgeous Christmas day with family in Melbourne, and this morning kicked off Boxing Day with a big early morning family walk. Life is good. After a pretty crazy lead-up to Christmas my craft room looked like a bomb site, so I’ve spent today cleaning and tidying up. Yay – I can see my desk again! I hope you’ve had a wonderful few days too.

And now, on to the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge…

The fabulous colour combination in this picture is Tranquil Tide, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Calypso Coral and Blushing Bride. 

This is where the colour combo took me…

It’s a sneak peak of a brand new stamp set and punch that will be available in the upcoming Occasions Catalogue on January 3.

I’ll show more of this ‘Happy Tails’ set in the coming months, as it will be a firm favourite for many of us I believe.

The colours were sponged onto a panel of Glossy Cardstock, then layered on to Vellum cardstock and Calypso Coral cardstock.

The cute four-legged friend was stamped in Versamark on Vellum cardstock, then embossed with white embossing powder. The image was then punched with the Dog Builder Punch (sneak peek: available 2nd Jan 2019).

What’s CASE-ing The Catty? CASE stands for “Copy And Share Everything”. It means we use the ideas and inspiration from one project and apply them to another to create something altogether new. Each Sunday evening at 7pm AEST/8pm AEDT the CTC Crew kick off a new Challenge using the Stampin’ Up! catalogues as inspiration.

This week’s challenge is to CASE our favourite bundle.

I chose the Merry Christmas to All bundle, on pages 4-5 of the Holiday Catalogue. 

In particular, this “Wishing You Christmas Cheer” card from page 4.  

I think this is a fabulous bundle of products, because they are much more versatile than first meets the eye. 

Think this is just for Christmas? Think again!

You can pair it with other words like ‘birthday’, ‘anniversary’, ‘retirement’ – and there are many more options – and you have a whole range of brilliant statements for the front of your cards. 

So, inspired by the card shown above, this is what I came up with: 

As you can see, the cards are very similar.

The layout is almost identical, with just a switch out of patterned papers (I used Animal Expedition) and the birthday stamp from the Soft Sayings Card Kit.

Now this picture is something to get us in the creative mood.

Are you at the point of wrapping presents? Or are you still getting everything organised? 

I’m a bit of both at the moment, but this sweet picture certainly got me in the crafty mood. We are inspired by the colours in this picture, including Shaded Spruce, Blueberry Bushel, Crumb Cake and Powder Pink. I think the blue could probably even be Night of Navy but I love how Blueberry Bushel adds just a touch of lightness. 

Here is what I came up with…

Bike Ride by Stampin’ Up!

It’s been a while since I used the Bike Ride stamp set so it was fabulous to play with it again.

Now I’ll be honest, there are a lot of pieces in this set and unless you’re very familiar with bicycles you may be scratching your head a little (like I was!), trying to work out where all the bits go. I’ll give you a hint, just go to page 28 of the annual Stampin’ Up! catalogue and you’ll see some great projects there. Or if you don’t have your catalogue handy, just click here and you’ll see how it all works. 

It’s a clever set, with different stamp images for the peddles, handles, wheels, rims, saddle and more. 

And to add to the cuteness level, we are even given bike accessories like a basket, a dog, books, flowers and more. 

The Darling Label Punch Box was used to make the sentiment. This is a ‘must have’ in any crafters collection, if you ask me!
