CI26: Vertical Greetings meets Narrow Note Cards & Envelopes

Published by under cards | Jan 24 2018

Hi friends,

It’s great to be back crafting again after two weeks at the beach. We had an amazing time together as a family, enjoying the sun and surf. The kids are growing up so quickly so I’m savouring every ‘family time’ moment we get these days. My oldest is starting his final year at school! Wow.

The trip ended a little suddenly with an unscheduled trip to the ER thanks to my dodgy gall bladder, but that seems to be the way we roll at the moment. I’m having it out in a couple of weeks, so there should be plenty of crafting time in my future.

The recuperation time this week meant I could play along with the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge! Yay. The colours are soooo beautiful – some of my favourites.

But I’ll be honest, I’ve never used them together.

Check out our inspiration image:

Vertical Greetings meets Narrow Note Cards

I decided to pair Vertical Greetings with the Whisper White Narrow Note Cards & Envelopes (new in the latest Occasions catalogue). Wow. These two items are a match made in heaven!

[Hot tip: If you already have the Vertical Greetings stamp set, then order these new note cards & envelopes pronto! You’ll fall in love with the stamp set all over again]

I trimmed 1 cm off the card front, which created the perfect window for the sentiment which was stamped on the inside of the card.

As per the challenge, colours used were Sahara Sand, Emerald Envy, Bermuda Bay and Tranquil Tide.

‘Lots to Love’ Box

The Narrow Note cards fit inside the new Lots to Love Box framelits (on page 19 of the Occasions catalogue, or you can check it out in my online store here).

I couldn’t resist making a matching box.

The front panel is Sahara Sand cardstock and the rear panel is Tranquil Tide. I introduced Bermuda Bay in the ribbon and trim edging, with a touch of Emerald Envy in the stamping.

Join the Colour INKspiration Challenge

Will you join in the challenge? You have 3 whole weeks to play along before the next colour challenge is issued. Just join our Facebook group (Colour INKspiration Challenges) for all the details and to share your creation.

But before you go, continue around the blog hop with the Colour Inkspiration Crew. Up next is Liz from Lillybet’s Papers.

CTC 160: Picture Perfect Party

Published by under cards | Jan 07 2018

It’s no secret that my FAVOURITE suite in the whole Occasions catalogue is the Picture Perfect suite.

In fact, I may have made many, many, many cards already with this suite! Yay!

So I was super excited to see the first CASEing The Catty challenge for the year was looking at the gorgeous projects on pages 4 – 9. Well, I just couldn’t go past pages 4 and 5! I was going to CASE the colours, or the fun layouts using different papers and stamps. But in the end, I just couldn’t stop using the actual products from this suite.

It was the candles card on the bottom of page 4 that was my main inspiration.

I started by copying it almost exactly…

.

.

… and then used that layout and the awesome papers as inspiration for other cards.

.

How real (and delicious!) do those donuts look?!

And the paper bows are so fun too.

The papers are so striking!

But getting back to the original card, I wanted to share a quick tip.

Unfortunately the paper ribbon advertised in the catalogue is unavailable due to supply issues, but that’s no drama because I made my own fringed paper that creates a very similar effect. All you have to do is make tiny cuts along the edge of your DSP or cardstock, and you’ll have your own version of ‘fringing’.

Love it!

I’ll be back to share more of these fun Picture Perfect Party cards in more detail in the weeks ahead.

But for now, I hope you continue to enjoy hopping around to visit all the CTC crew blogs this week. So many great projects!

Up next is our sweet friend Kathryn – you can check out her creation here.

Don’t forget to join our CASEing the Catty Facebook group. You are welcome to join in our regular challenges right there on Facebook. Just share to the group! I hope to see you there.

Until next time,

happy stamping

Occasions Catalogue Cover

6 Things You’ll Want to Know

#1

You can view the 2018 Occasions Catalogue (Australia) HERE. You can even download it to your computer, tablet or phone (but it’s a big file!). If you’ve ordered from me in the past year you’ll have received a complimentary copy. Let me know if it hasn’t arrived and I’ll send you another one.

#2

Although the pictures and inspiration in the catalogue are fantastic, do you sometimes just want to see the products on their own? Without all the samples and extra info?

Well, there’s an easy way!

View the Occasions Catalogue products in their own handy section in my online store.

HOT TIP: You can even click on different categories within the catalogue. For example, if you love bundles (and who doesn’t? They save us money!) you can view ALL the bundles together in one section.
Do you just want to see all the embellishments? No worries, there’s a section for those as well.

#3

Products are available to order from 3rd January 2018 – 31st May 2018, although according to the FINE PRINT on the back: “Product availability may be limited towards the end of the catalogue sales period”. Just saying.

#4

Orders can be sent directly from our Sydney warehouse to ANYWHERE in Australia.

They are usually dispatched within 48 hours, and are delivered via Australia Post which means you’ll get a tracking number to easily follow the progress of your order. I’m so happy to say that postage is only 5% of the total order, regardless of weight! For example, if you place a $120 order it will only cost you $6, even if the order weighs a ton! Minimum postage is $5.95, so it makes sense to order a few things at the same time, rather than lots of items separately.

And as always, host rewards apply when your order is over $250 so you’ll earn at least 10% back in free product credits! For example, you’ll get $25 to spend if your order is $250. AND you’ll qualify for 2 free Sale-a-bration gift. Bonus host rewards apply before the end of March – see #6 for more info.

#5

Some of our fave items from the retired Holiday Catalogue have carried over.

You can find the Holiday Catalogue ‘carry over’ items in this handy 2-page downloadable document.

#6

And I’ve saved the best for last…

Sale-a-bration has started! This means your order from the new Occasions catalogue can earn you free gifts and bonus Stampin’ Rewards!

I know, right?! It’s so wonderful.

This annual promotion runs from now until 31st March, but it’s perfect timing if you want to shop from the new Occasions Catalogue.
Choose a FREE GIFT for every $90 you spend on ANY current Stampin’ Up! product (includes the 200+ page annual catalogue and the online Clearance Rack too).

Want to see the fabulous gifts you can choose from? View the Sale-a-bration Brochure HERE.

And for the first time, there are 2 categories of Sale-a-bration rewards. In addition to the lovely stamps and accessories to choose from for a $90+ order, there are larger stamp sets – and even Thinlits dies – available for a $180 order! Or you can choose 2 x of the $90+ Level 1 rewards if none of the Level 2 rewards catch your eye. The choice is yours! (And yes, choosing is the hard part).

Bonus Stampin’ Rewards also apply from now until the end of March. If the order total reaches $400, then a bonus $40 will be added to the existing Stampin’ Rewards! If your order or party sales reaches $450 for example, you’ll earn:

  • $45 Stampin’ Rewards + $40 Bonus Sale-a-bration Stampin’ Rewards = $85 in free products
  • 5 free Sale-a-bration gifts
  • plus you’ll have the fabulous products you’ve ordered

It’s pretty incredible isn’t it. This is my 11th Sale-a-bration and I’m still blown away by how generous this promotion is.
